I bought a Meanwell LRS 350-24 powersupply for my DIY FFB project. I got two 86BLF04 motors from @walmis and I’m thinking of either mounting the powersupply inside the joystick base or separate from the base in a 3D printed enclosure. The PS is rated at almost 15A. How much current will the motors draw? I need to know what kind of DC contact I can use between the PS and the VP Force controller…

Rhino has 180W supply, 19V ~ 10A.
You could look at Laptop PSUs or go with a Meanwell LRS-350-24, it's powerful for it's price, but bulky.

Is it possible to drive the motors in the kit continuously? The reason is I want to ensure that my belt is seated properly and run my pulleys slowly for a few revolutions. Its a bit difficult to drive by hand in my arrangement.

Is there a trick to get the WW adapter/grip working? Tried the adapter and it won't recognize the grip. Grip Type is set to WW Adapter.

The grip works when I plug the Orion 2 with the F18 Grip back in but not with the Rhino.

Hey! You can verify if the Rhino detects it by setting grip type to debug and checking the data it gives out in the debut tab. If it's all FFs then maybe it's not making contact.

Yeah looks like intermittent contact. Could you try to give gentle push on the din socket on the adapter after you seated it.

It seems to change nothing. The TM F18 Grip functions without error.

Is the end stops effects or throw limiter better for setting a end stop. Right now I’ve got the end stops effect clocked with axes reset and it seems to work fine.

Also the balance effects for keeping the grip centered. It works but only in one position. For example you tweak for holding center then use the force trim and move stick to high left. Now the new center sags because the balance effects was used for holding the center position. Not sure how it would but a dynamic balance effect to keep the stick truly centered would be nice.
