AI can add a hack that moves the old config if detected. With a note that it (the hack) should be removed in a few versions.
AIt's gonna be very ugly though, since the move also involves creating folders, so there'll be some WET here (as opposed to DRY).

ABtw @j0rge on a different subject, I have a solution for your idea of a "distrobox native" terminal which just immediately goes into the correct distrobox.

AMe too. A terminal that supports distroboxes and knows how to enter them automatically. Windows kinda has that, damnit. They have Windows Terminal where you have a tabbed interface, a "+" symbol with a dropdown for Ubuntu, Powershell, etc.
AHmm wait a minute, Windows Terminal exists on Linux, you could use that if you want to have different tabs for each distrobox.

AAh hehe. Sadly I am not sure anymore. May have mixed it up with PowerShell (their shell) which definitely went cross-platform. It's been 3 years since I last looked at Windows.
