Vp settings, Hardware Force Trim currently off, but button mapping settings can be seen... These correcspond tothe Virpil VFX hat up, down, left, right
Though “Spring” looks like it might cause some issues since you’ve set pitch to just 1% and have it override game ffb. I wouldn’t say that I’m certain of it, but I imagine that it has the potential for causing issues.
Try unticking all “Sticky”, tick “Use FFB trim implementation” and see what happens re FFB trim, so we might figure out if that’s on the correct path
Thanks.....Will do! ALso, meant to ask....should I use the VP Hardwre Force trim? Or just use the DCS settings and leave VP force Trim off and map the game trim controls as normal?
I am getting it now...if you turn on an effect, the slider itself needs to be at some value over 0. If you dont want any strength to the effect, disable it in effects tab
I’d recommend not changing any settings in the app unless you’re trying to tune an existing plane, spring centering is what gets adjusted in the f-14 when trimming
Given your green role color, sounds like you built a custom setup, but on the default rhino — we have that encoder dial we can turn to manually in real-time adjust how strong the spring effect is. Not sure if you added the equivalent for your setup, but probs best to just that dial that in real time to turn up/down the spring if you don’t like it so strong
I just tried Trim on my system. I have nothing sticky, and only master gain set to 100%, then controlled by the potentiometer. and the only thing I did to DCS was set the trim buttons. My trim moves with the button presses.
correct, DIY build. Currently have one pot set to friction intensity and the other one I have changed between periodic effects and damper. I do think my issue is sticky spring which I will remove all together and if I do add it I will set pot 2 to spring effects or master gain. Thanks!!
This is baffling. no effects on current settings Mater gain set to pot1 and cranked to max FFB on in DCS misc and F14 special for trim I hit the trim hat...I see the trim move in the Rtcl-Enter display....stick stays put
