Its part of the hardware force trim implementation. Pushing trim release button will remove spring forces until the button is released. Where you release the button, the new "center" of the spring forces will be where you released it
not in configurator that I know of. I did write a force-trim implementation for helicopters in TelemFFB for MSFS that works the same way. If you describe how the system works on a glider it could probably be done in TelemFFB.
This is a different glider type, the difference is, that on this one you move a trim lever. To do that on the LS4 you pull the trim lever and then the trim moves to the stick position and stays there when you release it.
interesting.. I think the best we could approximate in TelemFFB is a button binding (could use the paddle on grip) that removes only the elevator spring force and re-centers it when released.
What would this cable be called (specs), so I can get a replacement. The Y axis stopped working suddenly for no reason. First thing that crossed my mind that it would be a loose connector, so I opened up the stick, but all was seated. With fiddeling at the cable, the motor came alive. So I placed it that it works, closed the stick up and went flying. Net though, it won't stay for long, so I better get me a spare.
I know this is a very belated response, but I've been busy moving into a new house and job, so I've not had time to mess around with this.
I finally pulled the port out and took a look, and I don't see any obvious issues or damage, but the stick is recognized when I plug it in with the port removed, so I can only assume it was an issue with the solder points on the port that's not visible (maybe a cold joint?)
What about activating Enable Hotplug, the button next to the rescan devices you mention from Keybinding screen? Sometimes when I loose the ffb in DCS I just have to re-slot.
@walmis - Are the kits on waiting lists or just the full base? Do the USB electronics encode the stick positions or are separate sensors needed? I saw there are some potentiometer inputs - trim or control inputs? Are those compatible with Hall effect sensors too if they are control inputs? Looks like a really great sim accessory!
The kits don't have a waiting list and are quick to ship. Motors act like stick position sensors, so no additional sensors are needed. The pot inputs have various functions assignable via UI and can be axis control inputs. Hall sensor 0-3.3V will work too.
Hi! Just recieved mine - super impressed with build quality. However, when I try to update firmware via https://vpforcecontrols.com/usb/rhino/ I get an error: "Error: NetworkError: Failed to execute 'claimInterface' on 'USBDevice': Unable to claim interface." Any ideas anyone? Googling doesn't make me wiser...
Probably the stupidest question yet, but I'm currently playing FS22, using twin stick for crane controls. But the Rhino doesn't work there, if I put it on raising/lowering the crane with Y+ and Y- respectively, all it does is raise Y+ even if I don't physically manipulate the stick?
I just got done flying the excellent freeware A-29B for DCS (https://github.com/luizrenault/a-29b-community). I have an entry for it in the TelemFFB user config file if that matters... I just looked at the log after completing a flight, and there are mulitiple "simconnect?" messages interspersed with DCS effects -- e.g.:

Shouldn't the app stop looking for MSFS when DCS is active? This doesn't seem to hurt anything but it seems inefficient to my noob programmer wannabe self...
Was suggested I post here. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I’m really only feeling the constant effects I put in and some of the more haptic effects from telemFFB or something. I fly spit, 109 and F-1 mostly, which is what I’ve been testing in. The only non stick vibration-type effects I’ve felt have been on the f-1 while I’m taking off (stick moves around as I get up to speed) which was super cool. Posting in my settings. I fly DCS only
