MThanks. I imagine based on how some things install even though I don't know how to create one myself. I believe I've seen some containers install themselves in the terminal by default. Am I correct? I should have some just through some things I installed even if I didn't make any.

MAlright, I guess I'm giving up on scrcpy for a while. Kind of like I did with Bazzite arch. I don't know what to do. It's gonna take time to learn containers.

Tyou'd have to start like deleting files in /etc
Tand yeah you can mess with your home directory to break anything

J(I don't mean to scare you lol) -- it's just that with most distros you break your system by installing software. Or by trying to do an upgrade.
MI don't think the general population may not know not to delete certain empty folders just because they're there. But i got that impression from Windows when i saw them named a certain way under subfolders for programs I installed in the past.
Hi managed to mess up bazzite a few times (kinda) on my laptop but thats more thanks to the uefi on the laptop being weird with linux in general
bazzite was the first ever linux i had to enable secure boot for to even have it boot (it booted fine until i signed the image)
had to literally enable secure boot --> install bazzite --> sign image --> import keys --> everything works
without secure boot on my laptop would just boot into a black screen after signing the system

MI had a similar experience when I used to be on Windows and I was trying to enable virtualization.
MBy the way. If you think about it. This information should scare people. I need the awareness of these potential risks so I don't do anything stupid to my computer. If I'm not scared, I'll risk breaking my computer.

Jinstalling software and doing upgrades shouldn't break your PC
Hits like saying "you ran windows update, why would you update your OS? its your fault it broke from a broken update"
Jlike, if you're going to break your PC at least do something epic, breaking it because of some crappy third party package or doing a dist-upgrade is weak sauce

Hi accidentally used DD to clone 1 disk over my running system disk, was kinda spectacular that i got away without any data loss (thank you backups) and watch GNOME slowly die i went like "huh this dd is taking longer than usual" followed by immediate black screen with the blinking prompt

MBecause last time I was on Windows I had this fucking annoying ddl error for video content that wouldn't go away. it was effecting all of my MakeMV burned videos. I would try to play one then Windows would say it can't fine. I check the folder they are clearly there.
MTurned out for some odd reason Plex was the cuplrit for modifying that necessary ddl file.
MI didn't really know what those were so I watched a Linus tech Tips video on it
Hpretty much, i lost maybe 2 hours of data which was like what, 3 notes and 1 hour of gameplay in a game?
MSo installing software even if it's legit can break your computer.
