I have a bit of an odd question that might not be related to pages, but I want to setup a proxy through my site for a download from a GitHub action so that the download is easily accessible in mainland China. Is there a way to accomplish this?

You could add a step to the action to trigger a Pages build after the data has been updated to fetch it, or you could use a function to fetch it each time (especially if the file is >25MiB)

You might be able to. I’ve never tested if workers can use a wildcard but I believe they can

Excludes are not required. There’s that section about the route.json file under the docs you linked which explains the behavior of include/exclude

I assume that locally you're running your code in node.js, and if that is the case, the reason is that the library you're using doesn't properly account for different runtimes
