Feel like that's a monkey's paw, they go ahead and add support and it's just them doing some cursed kernel level anti-cheat that no one is going to merge
Jokes aside, any idea where I should start looking to figure out why my vram clocks are staying at idle rates when coming back from sleep with a game running?
Hey everyone, so I reinstalled bazzite using windows with fedora media writer and i didnt connect any NTFS drives to the bazzite install. I also didnt install any global themes. The good: 1. So far theres no weird files in the home folder. 2. battlenet and epic games seem to run in bottles now. 3. theres no longer weird refresh lines when playing lords of the fallen. 4. spotube currently loads properly. The bad: 1. clamtk still crashes when trying to scan. 2. lutris still crashes when attempting to do almost anything. 3. lutris cant find libretro even though I agreed to install it. 4. boxes still crashes when attempting to create a VM, and after the first crash i cant even open it again. 5. bolt launcher still cant open oldschool runescape hdos
You've still got something weird going on, Lutris works fine here and should work for everyone since it's preinstalled, and I use the boxes flatpak without issue
Any suggestions on what I should do/try? I know you say it should work for everyone, but I found people online with similar issues(although they arent using bazzite)
Hello guys. I am getting desperate here because somehow, nobody on the entire internet seems to be talking about this. I can not install libretro cores anymore AT ALL. this is incredibly frustrating, as i am dependent on the retroarch configuration menu to make my Controller compatible with a multitude of games. Whenever i try to start (or ins...

It's not specific to virtualization. Just let's you make scripts basically. Ublue comes packaged with some just recipes. With no parameter it lists the ones available
To be fair I think TIm Sweeney is one of the better rich people in the tech sector, like gabe newell. But I think most people can agree that we see right through his rhetoric on this in particular. He's basically saying he has no personal interest in doing it, even though he could, as it wouldn't get him enough money for the effort.
I kind of like heroic launcher more than epics own which is mostly a storefront. Epic launcher has a lot of weird things it's still lacking too like a real way to move games or scan a folder for them. And their game library is pretty spotty in whether any given game has cloud saves, achievements, etc. They went right in on trying to be like steam but its honestly not really at the same level yet
Epic Games court win MAY actually incentivize them to do native linux support, Epic Games is following in the footsteps of Valve and Microsoft, and Tim is going to eventually want his own Operating System and such things
I don't really like the exclusivity stuff they're always doing. It's too much like the console wars. I don't want vendor lock in or walled gardens. I shouldn't be required to use any specific hardware or os or launcher for a game
Because of Epic Games and Valve, its actually pushing Microsoft to compete as well. They did not have to compete before because they had the walled garden of Windows OS that steam and epic games had to use to sell their products
They don't even have to do basically anything, it'd just work if they allowed the anti cheat to work on Linux, and it's possible for it to afaik. Even without native stuff valve has laid the groundwork for almost everything to just work
