VGo into display settings and disable the unified refresh rate thing
VIt'll turn it into 2 sliders, which are typically more reliable in my experience

SI wanted to cap it to between 45-60 because 30 is a bit choppy nowadays and I think it doesn't help that it's limiting the refresh rate instead of the frame rate
SIn my experience capping the refresh rate makes 30 fps look worse for some reason lol
JI've run VRR monitors forever, always VRR on and unlocked framerate unless the game is pure garbo then I lock it 75hz, which is half of my 144hz.
VVRR is typically the best option

BOne slider is the default i think, you have to go gamemode settings> display > uncheck "enable unified frame limit management"

Been using one as a Bluetooth controller on windows for years but it didn’t work in bazzite. Plugged it into a windows pc, updated and now it works! Didn’t know that was a thing.
Had two controllers and only the older one needed to be updated.

SJust make sure you're not trying to put it on an Nvidia-powered machine; Deck mode doesn't work with that
