KHi @walmis literally just got the email saying my order is ready! Very exciting news but before I pull the trigger, 2 questions: 1) can this be mounted in the NLR Boeing sim seat? That is my set up along with 2) is it compatible with WinWing sticks? If so, consider it sold mate! Cheers

SI got a piece of plywood the size of the NLR seat footprint and mounted my Rhino to the floor.
BI mainly fly the Harrier and have kept just the standard profile but I did add end stops at 90ish %. I have also reduced the max amount of deflection needed for roll because I have a VR pit and it will interfere with my nozzle lever and leg.
Cthe default connector that comes on the unit fits TM sticks with no adaptor, correct?
S@Bird*dog could u give me pointer on how you build that distanceholder for your chair with the rudderpedal? got MFG crosswind myself and having something like that would be great (reference to https://discord.com/channels/965234441511383080/1000639415208656926/1203901633717870652)

Ptalk to walmis about that, I'm sure if it's only a short term thing he might accommodate. You will have a decent amount of time to save & you should get a good idea when your number will be coming up, you could always ask someone to swap out with a lter spot in the line?

for the DIY or in general, is there an answer for how or if the rhino homes/calibrates? trying to figure out if it is able to self-centre after being powered off for a while, or if it needs to re-run a homing routine to find a limit for X and Y

Lso i assume that you set min/max for X and Y, and those values are stored, but after a power off and you move the stick unpowered, does it need to home first before use? most of the videos i see of it being powered just go to center, but im assuming the board is remaining powered and it hasnt lost its positional data
FNah I unplug the whole thing days at a time and it's fine

S@Bird*dog after looking at the website it looks like u have a older version of the pedal mount that they sell would you be able to give me some photos of your mounts i would like to see how they are constructed
SOn power up it reads the absolute single turn encoder position. It uses the previously stored min/max as the axis limits.

Lim sure i remember @walmis posting about this not being a problem a while back when i got my kit, im aware there are "single throw" absolute encoders that can rotate multiple times as part of their entire throw, but i think i remember it being a software fix or something
FIf your system allows multiple rotations you should make sure it's within the correct rotation upon startup(ie if one rotation is 10° movement it should be within 5° either side of the center)
SYea that’s why I size the gear or belt ratio to use just short of 1 full motor rotation

TThanks. Ideally I wanted 21 aft, and since the default on the limiters was 20 I wanted to make sure 21 was ok.
CI love popping in here and seeing more and more Rhinos shipping out. It’s like a rolling Christmas for other people.
TAlso, @walmis I just want to say thank you for finally giving us a good force feedback stick that blows the MS FFB2 out of the water in every way possible. I've got #0022 and I absolutely love it.
TOn a different note, I feel sure that the software throw limiter generates substantially heavier pull than DCS aircraft when I set everything to max. Is there a way to get DCS aircraft to truly use the Rhino to it's true potential? I confess I haven't yet read the WIP manual, I'm buried in projects right now.
