MHi! I'm completely new here and I'm thinking about buying a hanheld PC. But it's hard for me to make a decision, mainly due to the poor battery performance of consoles other than steamdeck. I found information about bazzite on the Internet and I wonder if bazzite affects thebattery life of ROG Ally for example? Is it possible to determine more or less what the difference is in performance with and without bazzite?
AAt the same tdp you get the same battery life
ABut with bazzite at lower tdps you get better performance
ASo you get better battery life on something like an emulator

ODeck OLED is the GOAT. Just get that.
BWhen I have the funds and Bazzite is 100% ready for it (Valve makes some kernel updates), I'm moving to an OLED Deck. The screen and battery life upgrades are worth it alone.

OI keep my Deck stock. I run bazzite on my HTPC and basically make it a mega-Deck
IIf you're just using your deck as a deck. not a whole lot. Valve is doing a great job with the stable/experimental deck experience
IIf you want to do more installing something else is nice, and Bazzite gives you great stuff like mostly worry free updates over the alternatives

BBack when I switched, having Distrobox installed out of the box was a big deal for me. Being able to install the occasional rpm system package that persists through updates is great. But most of all it's having the peace of mind that if something does go wrong, there is an opportunity for support and advice from other users in the community here.
