Ha, well if that's the case check out the build server where you can customize your fimware: https://custom.ardupilot.org/. You should be able to strip out a significant amount to get under 1 MB, which will open your options.

Or you can just go through the list here: and see what the cheapest board is.

Great. You can. For display you can just you print statements. And work on webscokets. Later you can add all the displays

I use AVR ISP MKII Programmer but if you want to save a few $ then the AVR ISP Programmer with USBasp firmware would also do the job.
