Jit's when you want something at the OS level but it's not on the image, you can rpm-ostree install it

Jthat's why we start from base layers and build from the bottom up
Jthe smaller the image the better, so we try to keep important things in there, and things like apps and stuff go in flatpaks and containers
NMaybe my next project will be splitting out the steam layer from Bazzite.
NSo other folks can layer easily.
NAlso Bazzite doesn't fail to build just because the steam layer failed.

KYou won't have steam input support for wayland, you won't have VR support, you won't have HDR support
KDistrobox has some of these limitations
KIt also wouldn't work for game mode if you use an image with that

KIt does have benefits since there's no desktop environment running in the background

KYeah so you can just pick an image that doesn't have that, you're still getting HDR on the next KDE and Wayland steam input

KOh.. I thought that is a bonus, because the flatpak uses mesa 24
KThey will bunny hop, our 23 had a lot of 24 patches in it
KAnd their 24 is still going to be missing valve's patches
