NFWIW, TelemFFB has naught to do with stick forces in DCS. That’s all the native FFB from the sim.

BI’m not getting special effects on DCS P-51. The stick itself is working great, flight control wise, the issue is that I’m not getting anything else - stall buffeting, firing guns, etc. Thanks in advance!
BWhat do we do with the Rhino at the end of the day when we’re done using it? Turn off the motors with the red button? Unplug the power supply?
D@Number481 I rebooted computer, cycled the power on the rhino, imported the default config. Stick seems to work better now.
BMore notes to my issue above. The telemetry software seems to be working correctly. When I hold down the trigger, the gun firing effect is listed under ‘Active effects for stick’, but you don’t feel anything in the stick.
NCan you post screenshots of both the effects and settings tab in configurator? The effects dab you did post can’t be accurate since it shows everything disabled.

BAh, maybe that’s my issue. I thought you normally have all the effects turned off and just let DCS do everything. I thought the effects were for flight sims that didn’t support FFB. What effects are normally turned on? Also, is stick shake at the stall a built-in DCS effect or is it done with telemetry?
NA simplified description of how it works is:
- Effects tab sets the limitations for the sliders on the settings tab
- Settings tab sliders set the limitations on what a game can command via DirectX FFB
Together they sort of define the maximum capabilities and characteristics of the device.
Example: A game will just say "set spring to %50". It has no idea what is set in configurator. The resulting force you feel will be the spring settings in
I recommend importing and starting with the default rhino configurator profile (in the configs directory in your configurator install).

BOk, everything working now. A Windows reboot has everything working. Turns out it works just fine even with all Effects turned off.
CPower plug has started to fall out when I have lots of feedback. And ideas how how to keep it in?
NI'm using a workaroud by defining a deasspace in the Tune Axis section in DCS.
WIn your setup, encoder position wraps around, so it can be undefined at startup.

Here is the Male 5.5 x 2.1 (same size as the Rhino plug) with “Twist lock”. Get the female and swap them out.

BHello, how do I get force feedback to work in War Thunder. When I enable force feedback in game the stick goes limp as it should on ground but never stiffens up while flying. Any ideas?

Hinstalled the UH-6A and perhaps did something wrong in the clone dialog in Telem ffb. It seems that it doesnt recognize it, because curret aircraft is unknown.

AAnyone have a winwing adapter fail on them? I checked the stick on the OG base and all the buttons work there. It used to work but I took the stick off and now I'm trying to put it back on and it won't pick up the stick. Wiggling the connection around I did see 2 buttons illuminate on the software for a moment but can't get it all now. I tried forcing the connection down pretty hard like another user did to get it working but it's not happening for me.
VIs there any way to make the hat switches work as hats on my VPC T-50CM (not CM2) ? If I select the CM2 grip almost everything works, but the hats are only recognized as buttons

So far as I’m aware the original CM does not have push click hats (5 way).
So the hat switch should be picked up as 4 separate switch inputs.

VYou are correct. Its a minor thing, but if windows recognizes as a hat and not 4 buttons, it makes live a little easier, for instance in jo2key I can see a hat switch and direction which is easier to remember than button 23, or condor asks for a POV hat switch and I supposedly dont have any. Not a big deal, I can map them as 4 separate controls, just wondered if I could tweak that somewhere

TDoes the winwing adapter have anything other than a 6pin to 5pin connector inside it?
TI have the same problem with my winging adapter. @walmis response was to press it in really hard, but its a problem with how the the connector he uses in the adapter and the connector on the stick connect. Not sure if it's a depth problem or what. I can wiggle the connection and see my stick connect/disconnect fine but as soon as you tighten it, it's kind of hit/miss. If you get lucky and it's all tight, it works great, if it happens to spin (since there's no way to lock the spinning on the stick) then you lose the connection. If I connect a separate wire between the WW grip and the adapter, it is just fine. Im currently working on how to hack/fix it but have not been successful yet.
A@Kowalsky I don't believe so. Appears to just be 5 to 6 pin. It did connect for a brief moment when I was wiggling it but I can't get it to happen again. I also think it's a depth issue. Almost wondering if I can put something conductive inside the female side to make the connection but I'm afraid I'll damage the mail end. I did speaking with Walmis this morning and it sounds like I'll be getting a replacement. Walmis is the freaking man!
TStill having the same problems. I've discovered that you if you wiggle the wire it connects/disconnects, it's not a solid connection, force doesnt fix it. It's hit or miss if I get it connected and tightened at the same time. As I fly, sometimes the stick rotates a bit (winwing problem) and that disturbs the wire enough to disconnect the stick. I have a 3ft PS/2 extention wire that I can plug from the stick directly to the base and no disconnect problem when wiggled.
MFrom what i remember the CM Grip is wired differently than cm2 so the hat is not where the software expects. It should work with Thrustmaster mapping, that's what the original cm grip is using.

TBecause yeah the CM has a normal single button on the “thumb press” instead of the Slew/sensor Hat the CM2’s have.
HI did the update, and now it seems to work, I just wonder that my poti has no influence now. Before i just reduced spring by the poty and could fly heli. do i have to repeat some settings to get this working again. Please no rush with answering, enjoy your weekend and kind regards...
