N@uBlue Members Hi folks, I wanted to get some feedback on creating a repository to discuss project related concerns that are not necessarily technical in nature.
Some examples:
The benefit of Github is we can vote on things more officially and we could also include things on the project board from this repo.
Any thoughts? Maybe there is a better way to do this?
Some examples:
- Changes to the discord
- Tracking issues for upcoming speaking engagements
- Finance proposals
- Things that don't fit into any particular repo, but affect all projects

MNot opposed, just we had the discussion repo previously and it died
JI'm fine with leaving the project board how it is
Ti'm for discord changes
Jwe have a main repo already that does things like 4
KDiscord changes are good, we need bots
NRIght, this isn't changing the project board, it's more for having a repo to categorize issues that aren't neccessarily technical.
Jand we have links to the CoC, contributing guide, etc already
Jthat's what we've been using main for already
Jand it's already set up to vote, etc.
NWould it be helpful to have main be more focused on the actual repo it's supporting?
Nor do we think labels might be effective?
Jlabels would be a good start
NI can create some labels and add things to the project board.
Jwe've only needed to vote like 2 times in 2 years though
Nmight be better to do that more?
Ncome to more of a concensus around changes to stuff we depend on?
JI'm not sure what we'd be voting on? We usually get concensus pretty early?
NI guess it's more so that it would be documenting decisions we have made.
Nand having a central place for that.
NLike an example might be: I want to add this bot to the discord.
Ndoes we have consensus on this?
Nthen we have a documented discussion on github that can be referred to later.
Nand a vote that approved that change.
NAs good as threads are, I feel like they get lost and resurrected.
Xi know you abandoned github discussions for discourse, but i feel like that's literally the usecase of discussions
NI think discourse is great for forum discussions and documentation. I'm not sure on the use case for voting on stuff related to the project.

JI would file an issue with "Adding a bot to discord" "Hey I wanna add a vegeta bot from here: <link>"

NRight, I suppose what I'm trying to clarify is where that issue should go. I can default to main if we'd like.
Nand just tag it accordingly.

proposal tagNsounds good. I think if we get proper labeling in place, we could use main as the dumping ground.
