KI do own a smart TV, but it's never been connected to the internet. I have a Pi as a media centre. But the prices on non-smart TVs is actually MORE than the 'smart' ones

OThe data collection subsidizes the cost of the smart TVs. Problem is even the expensive TVs still have obnoxious data collection.

Olike someone left an e-scooter kinda sticking out in the road, and if a good samaritan tries to roll it forward out of the way, it'll play a little siren and try to back up on its own to get back to its original position

KIt's pretty common here. Most garages do it cheap. Winters where I live get to -50, you can't use spring/summer/autumn tires in that crap.
Pno they just take it to a regular tyre service place and murder all the witnesses
