That's what my media PC is, foobar2000 adds all that to a dynamically searchable library with zero perceivable lag. I can find a album with like, 3 button presses or search a entire genre or year like that too. Meanwhile in Linux on like Clementine/Audacious/deadbeef it just freezes when I try that.
Yeah, my reality was just buying a little mini ATX box to deal with it. Someday I will figure out installing Foobar2000 on Linux in a way that has zero issues, or maybe Peter will just finally port it over.
i'm more of a musicbee person but i still enjoy foobar for simple playlist playing and quick tag editing. it's still a powerful and lightweight player though
I also have really complicated music library setup. It's actually iTunes library on a NAS because I have iPod and MacBook. Jellyfin is pointed into the contents of that library and picks everything up for non-Apple devices.
