Gso .bashrc is a hidden file in your home directory that runs whenever bash is run, it's basically its own shell script and it's used to set up your shell environment so you can add this shell script you wanna run to the end of it (on the last line just write the path to the script) and it'll run whenever you open a terminal

ls > logfile.logwait I think I misread what you wanted I saw it as wanting a script to open whenever you open the terminal but on reread it looks like you just want a script to open in the terminal when you run it
RTo be clear, I'm a fairly linux noob. I try to work through the GUI as much as possible. To explain my situation, I use comfyUI for some AI stuff, and it runs through the terminal. I have a venv set up as well, to keep the python stuff I need for it sectioned off. I made a very simple script to run that first initializes the venv before starting ComfyUI. Just a .sh file. I was just wondering if there's an easy way to make the .sh file run in terminal when I click on it. I get the option to open/edit the file, or execute. The problem with execute, is that it starts comfyUI but doesn't open a terminal for it, so I can't easily see the outputs or shut it down. Right now, I'm right clicking on the .sh file and there's a menu option to run in terminal. I was just wondering if there was a way to make it so clicking on the .sh file defaults to opening it in terminal.

RI think that would be fine. Is there something I can append to the bash script to have it automatically open a konsole window? Or is there some other method to do what you're saying?

JAs giphit mentioned, .desktop file make a menu entry for you, so you can launch something as simple as launching your web browser.

RHow do I do the .desktop thing? From what I've saw, .desktop looks like a file extension. Do i just rename my script with .desktop at the end instead of .sh?

RThe think that's irritating me is that from what I read online, setting the .sh file to executable should prompt a window in KDE to "run in terminal" when instead it prompts "execute" which does run the script, just without opening a terminal, and I don't know how to view something that is running in the background unless I manually start something in the konsole myself.
RSo comfyUI does start and runs, but I have no idea how to shut it down after I'm done without a konsole window to just close out of.

Wso i have a brother hl-2300d printer, usually on fedora i would install their rpm driver or on other distros id install br-laser. is that available on bazzite? im in the printer setup thing and im not seeing my printer driver here

LHello all, im having a issue of launching any game on the rog ally. Desktop mode just won't run anything as a last resort and game mode flickers the wide capsule down like it's launching but then repeats that flicker and refuses to launch. Anyone got suggestions lol. It's made bazzite only useful for web browsing and emulation

ZI messed with it to make it more secure whenever I connect to public networks but apparently all the default firewall rules are empty even tho there's a ton of profiles
