Nhmmm I haven't tried with the motors energized yet
NWhen not energized, the motor pulley obviously cogs but some cogs feel bigger than others if you get what I mean
NI have some new 465 and 420 belts coming in tmr but I'm starting to doubt they will change anything

HI have the same effect on my MFG Crosswind FFB Mod. Everything goes smooth, unless I increase the gain too much, than it starts to feel grainy. The belt is not slipping though….
HSo I‘m really interested in the conclusion to this issue. Haven’t had any similar problems on the Rhino though.

HYes, I feel you. Unfortunately it is hard to remote diagnose a problem. As I said, I kind of know what you experience. I think I had similar with my pedals. For me it was solved via a well tuned software profile.

NYeah, make sure when you load an aircraft that TelemFFB does not have a pre-defined profile for, that you hit the big purple button and create a new profile with the right aircraft type. That is the only way that TelemFFB knows what settings to show you and which effects to enable.

Nit is difficult to turn, but I was able to get it to the same points in the axis and both the outward movement and rebound are smooth

HLow Pass Filters. They prevent undesirable resonances with the effects. For example spring gain. Depending on the length of your extension, the weight of your grip piece and the gain setting. The stick can become a pendulum that violently throws from one side to the other when left alone instead of centering...
Or with too much friction, you may feel the stick vibrating in your hand even without moving it, etc.
The adverse effects can be manifold.
There's a LPF for every effect.
First I would deactivate every Effect except spring and see what happens. If you still have the grinding, change the LPF gradually and see if it has a positive effect.
You can always go back to default. If it gets better, re-introduce one effect after another and do the same if.
In general - friction, inertia and so on should be used sparsely.
Btw. can you post a picture of your settings?

HUnrelated: Your calibration values are a bit off. I don't think this causes the problems, but it shouldn't go into the negatives. In neutral position the raw values should be around 2000 on each axis.
Nyup, usually is. I've been doing a lot of tinkering with the belts as part of the grindiness issue, so it's a bit off at the moment. Belts are coming in today actually
HI would recommend to remove the belts, set the calibration manually to 0-4096, let the motor center and re-attach the belts. Then do a proper calibration.

NInteresting, didn't know this method. Only knew the centering tool method......which I've been doing without the centering tool frustration galore
frustration galoreHWell, I don't know if Walmis would approve that - it is certainly not "by the manual", but it works and makes mounting the belt without messing the position up much more easy (of course the rhino must be powered and the spring gain activated)

I feel subtle buffeting on stalling. Is it possible to strengthen vibration at buffeting through the configuration software?

NGenerally speaking, the configurator utility is used to set the max capabilities and characteristics of the Rhino.
Condor is not supported by TelemFFB. There is a limited amount of telemetry available from Condor, but it is really not enough to be able to implement much of anything with TelemFFB.
To your question about the buffeting in condor. Generally, any effect that "shakes" is a Periodic type effect. Therefore, increasing the periodic effect slider in Configurator will increase the force for that effect type overall.
- The sliders on the settings tab set the max intensity for any of the 6 effect types. There is also a master gain control. No effect that is commanded by a game or app will be able to exceed the value that is configured for the applicable slider. The slider acts like a factor. So if you have spring set at %50, and a game sets the spring effect to %80, the resultant force will be

KI love my Rhino, but in DCS when flying A-10CII it reacts weird. In normal flight it pulls upwards all the time.
At full speed I have to trim down at maximum. I don't have this in F/A-18C & F-16C.
With the Virpil Base it is working fine.
I know it is intended to have this forward offset. But this trim issue makes the combination of Rhino + A-10CII unuseable.
Can I change the behaviour somehow?

KA friend of mine has the same problem in the A-10C.
KThere seems to be a strange interaction between the axis curve setting in DCS and force feedback.
If I set the curve setting of the axes on the A-10C in DCS to 0, it will no longer pull upwards.
I usually fly with a curvature of 20 - 25, which helps a lot for Air to Air refueling.
I had a very similar effect in the KA50 when trimming. It always seems to occur when the axis is shifted in the neutral position.

N@Hiob i've intentionally set my Y axis belt tension almost as low as it can go (motor closer to pulley) without losing grip. It does help make the grinding less noticeable at the grip, but at the belt it is about the same and belt tension cannot solve the issue completely.
NUnfortunately I did not read, and Amazon said next thursday for the belts, not this thursday

SI think you want to have all your Rhinos axis curves at zero in DCS. Adjustments should be made in the Rhino software. Any adjustments in DCS will mess with the FFB.
