Hmm, strange... For me, there was an issue where moving the cursor would increase the refresh rate of the monitor (to max). But it seems to be gone now (unrelated to the adapter).

In general, VRR does seem to follow the FPS fairly decently but again, just got the adapter yesterday so heh.

For my LG C2, there is VRR info in the OSD. It shows if VRR is enabled, and the refresh rate fluctuates and does not stay fixed.

If your perf overlay is something similar, it should be the same way I would think. As in, if the refresh rate is not moving at all, VRR is not working.
