Anyone here got experience with Virpils Z-Extension on the Rhino? How does it work? Does it calibrate well with the off center weight?
KAnd how is the centering? Cause I tried a curved extension once on my WW orion 2 and it just gained a massive dead zone in the center.

PGot it so by reducing Vne gain, make ffb think it is faster than as it is, so I can get higher spring force gain, right? but I think it is not only speed related I think it is speed + weight related. but anyways as long as we cannot adjust weight, the speed is the key

Nreducing the VNE speed will just steepen slope of the linear force calculation. At a given speed. Here's a ChatGPT graph showing the applied force (vertical dashed lines) at a given speed (horizontal dashed line) given two very different VNE speed set points (458 vs 300).

HI don’t know about that particular extension, but generally speaking off-center/gooseneck extension aren‘t a problem. You can balance the stick with the configurator (unless the offset is extrem and the grip very heavy - you could probably still balance it, but the constant applied force will heat up the motors I assume). Why should an extension have an effect on the deadzone though? Btw, there is no deadzone on the Rhino by design.
KDead zone is a bad way to describe it but basically the springs weren't strong enough to put it exactly in the center on their own. The last 2 degrees I had to push myself.

CAre you not getting any of the native feedback? I still never understood what the concern was with the trimming?
HDepending on your spring settings, you can have those issues with the Rhino. A long heavy grip emphasises the problem of course.

Fcan you share the link for the rudder ffb kit? I can't find it.
HBf109 stabilizer at 100% positive and the plane still pitches up. The “Override Trim” feature doesn’t hold the overdriven trim position. That’s the issue
HOk, I finally understood I think. You just may not to bind in-game stabilizer on the same button as the rhino trim. A nasty overcome but it seems to work.
CI dont use the rhino trim. The in-game works fine with trim following of the stick.
DI have played IL-2 GB a fair amount, but never (yet) with FFB. As I recall, IL-2 GB can easily double-bind different in-game functions (even opposing ones) to the same input. This can be both good and bad, depending on circumstances. Not saying that is the problem here, but it has caught me a few times in the past so I thought I'd just mention it to be thorough.
PI have a separate input (trim wheel) for trim in IL-2 GB & I get the same thing with the bf109 full trim & still it pitches up. I think it's just the way the fm & il2 are with ffb maybe?
CHmm ya idk I have mine set to a hat switch and primarily fly 109s and never have had issues with trim and my rhino. 
PI might try changing from the axis to hat see if that helps.

HIt’s seems to be the specificity of the Messerschmitt. It’s not a bug it’s a feature so to speak
PAre you using a throw limiter adapter on your setup?
DNop ! I use only the settings in the "effects" tab of TelemFFB: Endstop/axis scaling/etc. Not a physical one
DFor now, I have a extension of 10cm/my virpil Alpha and the VP Force base
CThis is not true. You should be able to trim the stabilizer to get level flight. There might be some very specific power setting, altitude and wind that it is unable to trim properly, but that is not the inherent design. I have been flying all variants of the 109 a couple times a week for the last 9 months and have not had an issue getting trimmed level flight.
ICheck the knowledge base for the FFB mod for the MFGs made by Hiob. I did it to my pedals and it’s incredible.
HIn Dcs it’s a documented feature with a lot of discussion about the phenomenon that’s why I assumed it’s similar in Il2.
Please try it again: increase the airspeed up to 550 km/h with stabilizer setting 100% positive. If you take the hand off the stick you should see the nose going up.

Gunboxed my new rhino a little while ago - should it have moved/centered once you twist the red power... button thing to the right to release it? I did that with the software running and it seemed like the power might have been having issues.

Nsilly question... have you tried pulling and re-plugging the USB after powering on the Rhino? I sometimes see odd behavior with Configurator if I power cycle the device while its running (but I am running 3 devices so its a bit different situation).
Other than that, a common issue is overloaded USB hubs. Try direct attach to PC if you can (if it isn't already).
Do you still feel the cogging in the axis when the power is on or is it smooth?
Also, even if it were properly connecting, with the profile you have set in your video (with master gain at 0), it wouldn't center the stick.

Gi'll give that a shot - it is plugged into a big usb hub with like 8-9 other devices. i'm not really sure what cogging feels like, it's relatively smooth, but i feel some... uhh lumpiness, for lack of a better term? it's nothing like hitting an afterburner detent or anything
GGdirect connected the usb cable to the motherboard/replaced cable while the power was connected. also, the power adapter is going directly into the wall
NYikes…that sounds like either the internal connections to the stop switch are loose or maybe a faulty PS. (Those are my wild guesses). I’ll tag @walmis for you to make sure he sees it.
WYeah, something's fishy here. It tested fine before shipping, so it might be a PSU or an undetected wiring issue. DMd.

HHey, yeah, you need to deactivate one axis in the VP config and give it a different ID and name it Pedals. It is all pretty straight forward.
