KWhat's the benefit of using TelemFFB in dcs instead of native ffb implementation?
PSo (as I understand it) dcs ffb effects are done by the module maker not dcs. So some modules will have better ffb effects than others, I think the F-14 & other heatblur modules have been reported as having the best effects natively. What telemffb does is add on top of the native ffb effects. Some effects may not belong with a certian module like the f-18 being fbw irl would have more limited feedback to the pilot over something that is using cables etc. Though these effects can still be helpfull & immersive to use, you can pick & choose the effects from telemffb as you wish per module.

HAs PinkMud already said, some DCS-modules don't offer any effects beyond aerodynamic control forces at all. And none offer supplementary effects like weapon effects, ground rumble, ETL, engine vibrations etc....
II got a email from them. There’s a white box with an RJ45 cable (why I have no idea) and then that box has a USB C to USB on it. It’s just like VKB so we have a control box we got to setup. Ugh. Wish Virpil had released their cyclic. I’m using F18 handle right now but I really would love to complete my collection….

Bi think you are thinking of VKB with an external control box. All of Virpil's products have the electronics integrated without an external box.

BIn other news, I have had my Rhino for 6 days. I haven't had a chance to use it as much as i like but my initial impressions are unequivocally positive. I am blown away by its functionality, easy of use and quality. Well Done @walmis
Balso whoever has created the documentation is a godsend. I know its not perfect but it makes coming up to speed on all the features really easy.

HLol just saw a „review“ of the Moza (with the guy actually opening it)…. My second hand judgement….. meh. Nothing to worry about for the Rhino. Looks dirt cheap on the inside and the gimbal is a joke. (It actually has one motor throwing around).
Maybe in practice that doesn’t matter all that much, but the absence of active cooling will become a problem. (Search for "Jabbers Moza")

JI don't think Rhino will have anything to worry about for a long time. The main appeal of the Rhino, especially once more places have FFB, is the absurdly high quality open source software support to provide functionality and features and effects that will always be generations ahead of anything else
JI hope to one day see a VPforce yoke, or perhaps even other things like throttle, belt system, and of course the upcoming pedal kit for Crosswinds. With the software available, anything that can natively access said software will be superior to everything else.
Amaybe it has superconducting motors or something and generates no heat
Awould be interesting to see someone actually put the moza through some real stress

EIs there anywhere that explains the differences between the DIY FFB motor options?
HThere is really only two options that are relevant. The "standard" option for the regular (DIY)-Rhino are the 57BLF03. If you want a significant upgrade in max. force over them, you want the 86BLF04. However they don't fit the regular Rhino or DIY-Kits. There are DIY plans that will fit the bigger motors (they are physically much bigger). Makes it all more expensice though.
