I managed to figure out a solution. Flying without TelemFFB the stick was fine - felt normal.
As soon as I enabled TelemFFB and it matched the Mig-19.* profile the stick would be limp with no return force
I created a new TelemFFB profile for the Mig-19 by cloning (and tweaking) the F-5E profile and it's ok now
Something wierd in the original profile was causing this behaviour I guess

HHi, has anyone a fix for my problem. Build a collective and an Rudder with the big 86BLF04 . First I had no FFB Effekts but the spring effect was perfect over the whole travel. No I changed the normal settings above, now I get FFB in Flight, but I have a big deadzone without resistance . Even Steps are not counted in that area. The dead zone is not in the middle, but at the position the collective or rudder is at the moment and you start the movement.
HWhen you have no position readings of the motors - have you checked the hardware? Maybe the pulley came loose on the motor axis.
HFor all I can say, wether the application FFB works properly or not. The raw readings in VP config should show the slightest movement.
NAt the risk of asking stupid questions…did you calibrate the axes in configurator?
HI did and steps are also at 2048 in mid position
HPiñon is perfect mounted at the motor. When power is of, cogging is in the full travel. Strange is that both devices has exactly the same behavior
HHmm, maybe check the gain map for issues.... other than that no ideas at the moment
IHey everyone, for the last few days I've had problems with my rhino in DCS, when either the roll axis or both are not generating any force. When I exit DCS it goes back to spring mode and becomes alive. Everything looks ok in the configurator, so it doesn't seem like a hardware/firmware issue, it's just in game. It used to just work, not sure what happened. I think the only thing I changed was the telemffb update.

NTo rule out any of the override features you may have inadvertently enabled, does the same happen without TelemFFB running? Remember that the spring effect is part of the native sim implementation, not TelemFFB.
NThe blue dot does not smoothly follow the axis as you move it through the range of motion? A short clip showing the configurator window as your moving the axis might shed some light.
Iyes, the same happens once I start DCS, with or without TelemFFB. What override features are you referring to?
NThere’s the general spring override, there are configurator gain overrides, etc.

NLike I said, TelemFFB doesn’t do anything with the spring and obviously if it’s not running, it’s not doing anything at all.

HTeleFFB is off and I have that problem. Blue dot is not moving when starting the movement until the Force starts. Pinion is perfectly mounted for sure. We are speaking of only the standby behaviour at the moment. In Xplane the deadzone is the same... I upload a video now. Feels like there is an encoder plate loose and giving no signal.... But on two motors and controllers at the same way. Independent Controller, independent Power Supply.

Ithere's a "force feedback" checkbox in dcs, if that's what you mean. I tried both f-18 and f-16. The strange thing is that sometimes the pitch axis does work, without any changes to anything.

CHey all, I'm new to this joystick and having issues with the AH64. When I force trim it snaps the stick almost all the way to the right. I have the special settings to INSTANT TRIM and the pedals to WITHOUT SPRINGS AND FFB
CAh I figured it out. The "swap axis" box was checked, which inhibited it form working.
NAs a rule, to ensure a proper experience:
- Make sure the axes directions are set correctly in configurator such that the position dot follow the stick inputs correctly. This ensures that “FFB direction” and “axis direction” are in sync.
- don’t use curves in DCS axis settings
- don’t use saturation in DCS axis settings

P@walmis sorry to ping you, but just about to use my rhino in a dcs op first time since the recalibration you did. Is it ok for me to import & apply old config profiles or will that break the new calibration you did on the x motor?
HI don't know of course what Walmis did with your motor, but in general the auto calibration in the VP config is supposed to be a user level exercise that can (and must) be performed whenever you change something, like installing a throw limiter, change or re-tighten the belts etc.
So I think it is save to say, that you certainly won't break anything if you do a calibration. Just look at the monitor in the config tab and see if everything is properly centered. Otherwise do a calibration.

PNah walmis did some sort of motor recalibration. It all looked like ancient runes & magic to me 
HI think that is saved on a deep firmware level and not affected by user profiles.
