. I don't think Cloudflare has anything that makes that easier - you might consider opening an issue as a feature request for C3 (create-cloudfalre)

This is documented (somewhere, I don't have the link handy -- but confirm for yourself), I think if you go the route of making a new account, and you add the client domain to the new account, you will be given new nameservers for that domain. You'll follow the domain onboarding, current zone scan, etc. Once you update the NS with your registrar, the normal dns refresh process happens. Then you have full control of the domain in the new account.

If it's the first time an image has been loaded, it's probably not in Cloudflare's caches so it will fetch it from the server first

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT is a chrome error, I'd guess not proxied or if it is proxied, issue reaching CF (could be local proxy/firewall/etc messing with)

You'll have to troubleshoot your origin more. If you're using a third party web host, contact them. If you're self hosting, check your web server is up and firewall is open, etc. All generic web server troubleshooting steps. Your web server isn't responding on 80/443, but it does ping/seems alive
