Where did you place the app? I know Windows has some protections feature which "repair" app located in "Program Files" and "Program Files(x86)". Or is it a folder where some kind of replication is configured like OneDrive, GoogleDrive, DropBox etc.?
I also, just now, had the stick cut out....was not a USB disconnect, the motors went offline ( red text in VPconf software) This is the first time I have ever had this happen, they were not overloaded, the fans were not on either.....Is there a log that I can post or look at to see whats happenening? Somewhat worrying, as thats the last thing I need to start happening. Been faultless since I got it as well......
The filters are probably a bit too tight for the high spring gains and loop instability starts occurring, try reducing vel estimator gainvel estimator gain a bit (5 counts), it should help.
Balance is negative as that was the figure that kept the stick roughly where I placed it, when it was forwards of centre position when I was doing the calibration process as shown in the video that was linked. A positive figure, or less than -20 , the stick would go full forwards if I placed it anywhere forward of centre
Man I am a dumbass. Iβve been running my max psu Amps at 4.0. Iβm not sure when that number got changed. I recently saw the stock psu max is 9.0. So I bumped number in the software up to 7.0. Wow. What a difference. I really forgot how powerful the stock rhino can be.
Is there a setting that will "dampen" the stick falling forward when DCS closes? Right now, when the spring is released it falls forward with a "thud". I have an extension on mine.
Hi! I just tried to update firmware, but it just hung on "updating". The button just kept being greyed out. Now the stick doesn't work and the software says "disconnected" and "Rhino firmware: none". Have I bricked it? Edit: It worked after a restart and re-update of firmware. Phew!
Is there a keybind for the "reset Motors" function? If not can I make it a feature request? Occasionally (particularly when getting the settings right for a new aircraft) I find the motors overload and require resetting. This requires getting out of VR, leaving the simpit, alt-tabbing from the the sim(possibly mid-flight) to reset. A simple keybind would be fantastic.
Are you clicking apply or are you clicking store? If you click apply itβs temporary and will revert. You should hear two chirps from the board when clicking store. I usually click both apply and store for good measure.
I found that telemFFB is loading a version of a config, so changed that. What was strange was that the version it loads has no effects boxes ticked, in the balance spring section, which is greyed out, I can see the settings are all at 20%. So when it loads that config, it also somehow checks the box to make balance spring section active.
However, my stick motors did need re setting again today, I have reduced by 5% the suggested setting, but it is obviously not doing the trick......any ideas?
Hmm, do those faults happen on idle or during spring forces? Which ones are you hitting the red stop button and resetting and which happen randomly? Do you have the latest firmware b12 installed?
Weird issue. My lights on the virpil constellation grip came on, they've been off since swapping to rhino, how do I turn them back off. Also the grip is no longer found the virpil software.
Do you mean the constellation grip attached to the rhino or the constellation plugged in as well as the rhino? If the latter have you tired differnt usb ports. Virpil can sometimes not play well with usb3
They most of the time happen on low demand situations. Yes, b12. And to reset I push the stop button and unlock it again. If I unlock it too quickly it acts like it's not ready to start up again. But it always recovers its functions.
Hey guys. I'm loving my pre-built Rhino except for the fact that I'm using a 200mm virpil extension with tm F/18-18 grip (heavy af and lots of leverage) so I would like more force. If I buy a set of the 86BLF motors how much change to the housing would I need to make? I have a meanwell 12v 50amp psu coming in to try increasing the power a bit to the 57BLF's, but I know there isn't much headroom for them before they start to overheat.
The housing is longer. Width is the same. @SR-FWinger[73]_David has one kit left in stock with a fully build laser sinthered gimbal. I'm using it for my monster rhino and it works beautifully
I canβt comment on how much the power supply will make a difference but you would want a 24V and most people for DIY kits are getting the 14.5 amp meanwell LRS-350-24
I have the Rhino, like it very much , but during long dogfights, the stick forces just fade away, how hard would it be to upgrade to the more powerfull motors and install them on my current RHINO?
