DYou can search for tessellation in Dash and find the action "Enable Project Tessellation", once you click that, we will turn on tessellation for you. You just need to restart the engine.

DHey, you would need to re-install Dash as well. Safest to first search for Uninstall Dash in Windows and run that, then you can install Dash 1.8.5 again

DHey! Yes, we only compute static meshes by default, though you can also compute materials. To do it, locate the specific folder that contains your materials in Dash's Content Browser folder view, then right-click on the folder, and select Include Materials. An icon will show up to indicate that the folder will now have its materials computed.

For some reason my curve after drawing it is impossible to move (you can see the move , rotate and scale tools are greyed out). I tried the AI search. I tried the unfreeze tool suggested but it does nothing. I am in a level instance editing.

XPS : creating a curve and moving it in the master level works.

Right now our tools are scene-specific, so they won't work with levelinstances sadly. I hope you can work around it!

Here you have 2 possible problems (most likely 1 is the answer):
1. You are not looking at the correct Path Scatter in the Tools Panel. You can see the Pin icon is blue, which means that Path Scatter is pinned and therefore you don't see the Path Scatter you actually selected in the viewport. So you can try to un-pin the PS in the Tools Panel, and then de-select and then re-select your Scatter in your scene
2. Or this Path Scatter has lost its connections to the Curve and the rock you scattered. So if it is the right one displayed in the Tools Panel, you can see it says 0 at Curves and Scatter, so you need to assign the Curve and Scatter again. Then when you change the settings such as Density, you will see changes happening in the viewport

DYou can change the Density Mode to Fit Mode, that should give you more or less what you need
XFor some reason none of the solutions work. The 2nd solutioin is just creating a new scatter of objects and is not modifying the current one
DIf you click here to open the list of active tools, are you able to find this specific Path Scatter?
If solution 1 above did not work, most likely the tool connection is broken, and the way to automatically open it in the Tools Panel by selecting is thus not working
If you are lucky, you can find the right path scatter in this list and then re-assign the curve and rocks to make it work again. If not, I am afraid you have to re-do it with a new Path Scatter

DAnd the most common issue that this happens (broken tool connection) is if one accidently deletes the curve or the original scattered object
BHei! following the documentation and I wonder... the UVs are on the mesh we are suppose to scatter the texture on or? mmm i#m quite new to 3D but how to give textures UVs?
EDIT: ok the mesh that is the object surface of the scatter needs UVs i just tested apologies for slow thinking... BUT HOLY MOLY THIS TEXTURE MASKING IS JUST A BEAUTY MY GOD!

DI don't think I have heard any mention of Dungeon Architect in here no, and no experience with it myself sadly. So I would say, you can grab the free trial and test it they work well together

We have some camera bugs actually, it does not work very well when trying to render out with the Dash camera. It is something we are looking into, but no ETA on a fix I am afraid.
So for now, probably best to use a normal CINE camera and not the Dash camera, sorry!

DMaybe ye. Honestly, since it has some bugs when rendering out, I haven't used it in a while so not an expert on it right now. You can either experiment with it, or for now use a non-Dash camera instead

You can't actually convert it to a landscape. It is firstly a procedural terrain (similar to a landscape but smaller and easier to control) and then if you bake it, it becomes a normal Static mesh

JI am having a problem getting the AI assistant window to come up. I open the Dash window and click the "3 stars" image, but nothing happens. I rebooted my computer, reinstalled 1.8.5, but still nothing.
Also, is there a way I can "save" the location where the menu comes up? Every time I click on the "A" dash icon, the menu comes up in the middle of both of my screens and I have to drag it so that it isn't split across screens. If I close the menu or restart UE, it pops back up across my screens.
And, for some reason, I can't drag-and-drop content from the content browser onto a viewport. When I attempt to drag an object into a level, I get a red circle with a line through it. I've tried dragging objects from PolyHaven, Fab, Quixel, or from other projects, and get the same result.

BI believe you have to give the material to the object you want and select it. The edit material tab automatically opens.

JI am. I just figured out that you can't drop objects into "Viewport 2" only the one in the main work area. Darn. That's unfortunate as I like working with a full screen.

Yes the Material Edit and Blend Material only works when using Megascans from the Dash content Browser (The Quixel tab or the FAB tab), and when using Poly Haven from Dash Content Browser.
And here is a video showing you how to open Material Edit manually if it does not open automatically as Bruddash said
The important step here is selecting something in the viewport that has the right material and then you will see the Material Edit option within the active list of tools in the tools panel
