Since I am too lazy and/or too stupid to read the manual, may I have a question about axis "curve"? I find that Y-axis pull is too much, i.e. I find I can pull a lot too easily, as I am not supposed to change the saturation curve in-game, which setting in the Configurator should I use? I tried the "Saturation" under Effects tab did nothing regarding it.

Thanks. Shipping of mine to the UK was a nightmare. It was done by TNT and 6 months after I got my Rhino they came back asking for the import tax I had already paid.

I had to send them a copy of the invoice they sent me the first time, then a screenshot of my bank statement to prove I paid. WTF... All this would have been on their system anyway

Currently, the only way to set up a sort of saturation is to manually edit the calibrated range max and min values in configurator. For example, if your calibrated range is 1275 to 3003, simply subtract/add an equal amount from both ends. 1075 and 3203 as an example. This will cause the full physical deflection of the axis to only amount to a partial excursion in the game , which is exactly what the saturation does for reducing sensitivity.

Shipping is with Fedex now, they sent a text I paid online and after it was delivered I had an invoice stating 0 to pay, it does annoy me we pay £50 shipping and they still want to charge extra for collecting VAT

A few years ago I bought a FFB wheel from the US £3000, it was defective so I returned it for repair, they made a mistake and sent me another returned one, I returned it and they sent me a new one. I had to pay 20% VAT on each wheel and then claim back from the inland revenue the two which were returned.

Bloody nightmare.

The rest is also in mostly competition on how bad they can be as well.

I've had several occasions where I've literally been standing in the street, watched the dhl truck stop at the bottom of my street, wait a minute, pull a u turn and a few seconds the app pings "delivery attempted".

Ups, with my rhino as a matter of fact didn't even make to the bottom of my street, but got scared the hill before that, so I had to meet him half a mile down the road.
At least he called me.

Hi, is the RhinoLoopback app necessary with VKB grips? I wonder cuz when I use it, I still assign buttons in games to the VKB grips, and only assign axis to the Rhino

I have 2 DCS modules profiles set to Hardware Trim . I jump into one of them , fly around and modify the trim , then I choose a slot for the other module and the initial position of the stick(physical) in the second module is the same as the ending position of the first one... Is there a way to reset the stick to center on profile load? Trim reset on the second plane doesn't seem to work in this case (not yet 100% sure on this).

Hi. I have a question for FLNKR grip owners. I just received my grip, and after calibration, I noticed that the analog stick’s X-axis is not centering correctly (it reads 117 instead of 127). To make it usable, I had to update the center position in the Rhino configurator. Worse still, the center position drifts slightly, making it impossible to use without setting dead zones. I've never had similar issues with VKB grips. Is this typical for other FLNKR grips, or did I receive a faulty unit?

I’ve been playing IL-2 BOS recently, and the Rhino base is recognized. However, I don’t seem to feel the changes in stick force that correspond to speed. I clearly remember experiencing this effect many years ago when I used the FFB to play earlier versions of IL-2. Do I need to adjust the parameters myself to achieve this?

You can recenter the axis, hit the little "C" button and will change the values so the center is at 127. With some software trickery this area can be improved somewhat in the future.

I am trying to configure Spring Dynamic for Il2, but cannot find much information on the manual. How the values from 0 to 1 are linked to the actual speed exactly. What is 1? Is it the maximum speed of the aircraft or some type of absolute speed for all aircrafts? How does it change from one aircraft to another? Let say for instance that for Bf109-E7 stick becomes very stiff over 500 km/h while on a Bf109-K4 it becomes stiff at 700km/h. If I want to trigger a 2x coefficient to reflect that the elevators are becoming very stiff, how do I know at which point of the horizontal axis I need to put coefficient x2? They’re not entirely unsprung, they use force trim, magnetic brakes that do provide some return to trim, it’s just that trim is moveable. Your best bet would be to enable force trim in telemffb, and set a very low spring force and play with the dampers

Thanks for your answer. What I meant is that the cyclic does not self-center as for fixed wing aircrafts where the stick is "spring loaded" as for instance in F14 or F4 or ww2 propeller planes, the cyclic moves freely and does not return to the center. But this does NOT imply that there is no changes of force along the travel range of the cyclic. In UH-H1 apparently the force required to make any input changes depends on the amount of deflection, the more deflection the more force required in the input. I wish I would be able to capture this behavior, but I have no clue how to create a gain curve in VPForce_Configurator to link more deflection with more force without using spring. I also recently found out that for UH-H1 pilots are able to feel where is the neutral position of the stick because there is a steeper gradient of force just around the neutral position, this is basically how they manage to know where the center is, even when the aircraft is not yet forced trim before take-off. Also I was told that UH-H1 pilots did not need to use force trim in flight and were very rarely using it.

To my mind you’re explaining the feeling of force trim, but I’m very likely wrong on that. Without force trim active the hydraulics would provide a relatively stable force throughout the movement of the stick, I can only imagine you’d have to play around with damper settings or using a ramping spring curve to replicate what you’re explaining. There are gain curves in the advanced tabs on VPConfig, and telemffb gives you more options as well
