SThe main blocker is the lack of recording. Unlikely someone would do live stream without option to record it.
1I mean they have said it's being worked on. Recently the WebRTC on Stream was recently moved over to the Calls backend, so it does receive updates. I'm personally hoping we can get some compositing options for the stream channels

1If you have 20K viewers, you should be adequately monetised to support the event. I had a $1K cost for a 3 hour sports with "just" 1-2K viewers. $3K for 20K is good

Abut live streaming with sub second latency is a difffrent beast to tackle
1Which is part of the reason why it costs what it costs. It's not easy doing what they're doing, and I think the pricing model is a good balance and is better than other platforms who charge per GB instead of per min
AOne can only request i guess, currently the pricing makes whole lot of ideas not feasible tbh
ASadly the current state of sub second latency scenes means only startups who can burn cash initially can do interactive streams
