Hi please may I request a screen recording of someone opening an experimental version of open brush, editing/ making a brush, and then testing it in VR? I totally understand if this is not possible atm!! Thank you so much
can i pls ask if i wanna pick up these orange spaghetti strands and for them behave like ropes, or writhe around and stuff, would you have a suggestion about that- im not using styly so i can use code etc - like can i make the object malleable, like transform into a material that behaves like a rope/ snake or do i need to rig it first? Thank you so much!
First preview of runtime brush editing that isn't just smoke and mirrors. Credit to Tim Aidley for the underlying user brush functionality. Grab a build here and try it out: https://github.com/IxxyXR/open-brush/wiki/Brush-Editing
i actually meant an even more beginner friendly thing as to like how to access this runtime brush editing version? but also i want to ask pls you say 'if i can just animate this [slug brush] i will have something truly repulsive'- so thats actually what im hoping to do with the spaghettis
I use the Quest 2 tethered, which is the rift link, so I've been using the experimental rift package, which has been fantastic so far. I couldn't go back to the regular version now
it's still current but in general we don't recommend making custom brushes in Unity as we will probably never support exporting them to other apps. So unless you can do that manually yourself you'll be stuck
sorry what do you mean by other apps? do you mean making a brush and putting it into open brush to use or do you mean taking a brush and using it in a different game?
when i login to open brush it says 'powered by tiltbrush' which makes me think tiltbrush is the way we move the controller around and 'paint'- can i pls ask if this is correct?
oh i guess what makes open brush unique is the beauty of the brushes actually? the painting motion is in other apps as far as i understand, unless open brush as a differentiated painting motion so that motions are captured in a unique way or something? (pls may i ask)
