thanks, I had not. my fedora distrobox was already on 42, but I had not updated all packages yet. tried this and rebuilt mesa-fp8, but still no luck

I tried to get FSR 4 to work using these instructions https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/issues/2398#issuecomment-2845201173 and compiling mesa-fp8 in a fedora distrobox, but I did not succeed so far. Tried only with Control in Heroic Launcher though. It does not start anymore when setting the VK_DRIVER_FILES env var.
