When someone tells y

[2023-11-09 09:55:05 PM] : When someone tells you your pitch is too long, what conclusion do you take? A) They don’t relate with the pain B) Pitch does a poor job at describing the pain, and building momentum C) Pitch is actually too long...

Interesting thing ha

[2023-11-09 09:44:19 AM] : Interesting thing happened yesterday. I’ve had a twitter account since Elon was a boy and managed to accumulate about 100 followers in that time. Over the last week or so I’ve been reposting one of my old e-bombs on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn every day. I put the entire text of the article on each platform. Yesterday one article blew up on Twitter and I got 50 real human followers in a day. I’ve spent the morning trying to figure out what made that article click wi...

Doing a bit of paral

[2023-11-07 04:35:43 AM] : Doing a bit of parallel audience Safari (via TLDR newsletter) and stumbled across a linked blog post, (by you vadim ?) that 3/4 of the way down links to a really good talk by non other that julia. As you know I’m not a software dev but I really enjoyed this Julia and you’re v funny. Pains, worldview, jargon, recommendations… and stories. Oh and your audience live interacting with your demo!! Now that’s engagement :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:
Thought everyone here would enjoy both the article and the talk.
Thanks again alex and amy for the session last night....

Is there any advice

[2023-11-06 05:19:41 PM] : Is there any advice for taking a product that already exists and monetizing it?

[2023-11-04 02:11:47 PM] : Have people found success running/launching multiple 30x500 projects at the same time?

I'm sure many of us

[2023-11-03 03:39:19 PM] : I'm sure many of us have this experience, while going through 30x500 we start to see examples of founders/friends/companies doing things backwards and suffering for it. I would love, truly love to help people ask the right questions and go back get a breath of fresh air into their business. Does anyone here do this? Or do we know of companies that do this? I'd love to help people in this way and obviously need to go through the 30x500 process for this thought/idea myself, but trying to see if anyone has taken what they have learned in 30x500 to help out others with their companies. Fill in my gaps cause I know they are there ...

[2023-11-03 12:48:17 PM] : I'm excited to be back. Good timing as, while I still have my web design business, I got furloughed from my 'day job'. I've got the upcoming chat on my calendar.

Hey everyone! I'm co

[2023-11-03 12:29:34 PM] : Hey everyone! I'm coming back after a LONG time and trying to get caught up. I came in during the Pioneers group many years ago but lost touch as life took over. Curious, is there a new place for the curriculum and such? Reading here I'm seeing a lot of discussion on updates and I figure I've missed a lot of emails. Was really happy to get the email about the hangout from Alex so I could get back in here. So hi everyone!...

:calendar: hey folk

[2023-11-03 11:43:14 AM] : :calendar: hey folks! We're doing another hangout chat this upcoming Monday, November 6th, at 10am pacific/1pm eastern/6pm UTC. I've renamed the previous hangout chat to <#C0603E381DG|office-hours> so we can reuse it....

Hey all, I took the

[2023-11-03 07:03:08 AM] : Hey all, I took the course years back and helped a ton but now I feel rusty. I’m in the process of getting back up to speed, before I do a deep dive into the course again, is it any preferred approach for refreshing the concepts? I had a cheatsheet that was in an old notion account i no longer have (i supposed this is why I do more hand writing now  ) Any help is appreciated! Thx...

Does anyone have any

[2023-10-30 05:01:48 AM] : Does anyone have any tips on safaring a slack community? I’m a member of a community filled exclusively with my audience that is significantly more active than for example the related subreddits. I’ve safari’d the subreddits for now as I find them quite easy to safari, at least in comparison. But I’d like to try with the slack community. Few things I am thinking on the topic: • I need to capture much more details in the painstorming notes because I can’t link to it. (I mean I can, but like all free communities it is on a free slack plan so after 90 days the conversation is gone). • I need to put in a bit of an effort to untangle the conversations. Usually they’re contained in threads but not always. I expect the notes to be clearer if I untangle while safariing. ...

Is there a channel f

[2023-10-29 10:10:10 PM] : Is there a channel for general 30x500 feedback?

Hey, so after having

[2023-10-27 10:37:55 AM] : Hey, so after having quite a disappointing launch I got to think about the great advice by alex and decided to go back a few steps and try to focus on a, hopefully, more concrete slice of my audience: php devs who are trying (failing?) to implement Docker. Looking back it makes sense that people who are simply struggling to not go crazy each time they try to deploy an app may not even know what Docker is so they probably won't be looking for a guide... yet :slightly_smiling_face:. So today I did a little safari with this new focus and I think I got some interesting information to draw on. Thanks for the support!...

great point on this

[2023-10-26 12:05:38 PM] : great point on this being a worldview thread. my suggestion: read past the "video vs text" part of the debate. there's more going on here than that.

Well i was thinking

[2023-10-24 10:37:30 PM] : Well i was thinking of the question "How to start" (affiliate marketing that is) and as much as i have a lot of ideas on how to break/narrow down this question, I'm afraid that those ideas are subjective. For instance, I could include there a first step which is "finding a niche" (or maybe since I am now in 30x500 i can even say finding an audience). But that's me. I haven't seen any questions or pains so far that express that (though there are some articles in the pas...

*Quick update on wha

[2023-10-23 06:03:47 PM] : Quick update on what I’m currently doing and plans for the next months: I’m currently in the process of switching jobs and will be on a part time for the next 9 months starting next Monday. The plan is to invest the other half of the time in doing the 30x500 stuff. I’m both excited and anxious at the same time. I know that with consistency and work I can make great progress and I hope to use this time effectively. I’ve been focusing mainly on the Ember.js audience but recently switched to a broader Frontend audience, to realize it’s much more effective to focus on a narrow audience. Since the Ember.js community is rather small compared to other frontend frameworks and me also wanting to expand my horizons, I’ve decided to focus on Next.js (I’ve done some work with it and I’m also interested to learn more)–also the community is way larger than the Ember.js one....

SEO best practice qu

[2023-10-21 11:20:36 AM] : SEO best practice question. When people want to hire a freelancer (for example a copywriter), do they search for “find a copywriter” or just the role “copywriter”. Or something completely different? Such as “cheap copywriter”? :-)

Feeling a little stu

[2023-10-19 12:03:19 PM] : Feeling a little stuck :raincloud: and would love some advice/input from you! I've kept my eBomb streak going since this summer, I'm on week 14 now of weekly newsletter/blog posts. Newsletter sits at a modest email subscriber count of 65. I still enjoy writing the weekly pieces. However: I'm very burnt out on social media stuff at the moment. There's some personal life stuff that's sapping more energy than usual, and my social media/watering hole activity took the hit. I had daily cadence of tweets + replying and comments, but last couple of weeks, the last thing I want to do is to "engage online"._ Last two weeks of my twitter timeline is just daily Hypefury reposts of my evergreen stuff from last couple of months....
