This is SUPER ROUGH
[2023-10-12 02:46:45 PM] : This is SUPER ROUGH but I wanted to share the first cut of organizing the discussion from <#C0603E381DG|oct9-hangout> into a Notion database: https://indyhall.notion.site/30x500-Q-A-Database-cf0a6cb22b77497583fffcc936698348
How do you all stay
[2023-10-11 04:12:07 AM] : How do you all stay motivated? Maybe this is touched upon later in the course and I'm not at that part yet, but I'm wondering how you all are able to stay motivated not while working through the course per se, but working on your particular idea and following it through.
I'm interested in pe
[2023-10-10 12:02:42 PM] : I'm interested in perspectives of whether this is a good or bad idea. Currently there's no “list of people who do what I do”, and finding agencies or consultants relies on search results or word of mouth. Sometimes I see this is an unmet need of people asking for recommendations.
Is making and hosting a list of people and companies who do what I do a good idea?
On one hand, I can see the benefit of owning that is immense. On the other, it does mean my website has a list of competitors on it....
Two things after yes
[2023-10-10 10:10:35 AM] : Two things after yesterday's <#C0603E381DG|oct9-hangout>:
• we are gonna make this a monthly thing - next date to be announced!
• I'm working on a way to organize the questions and answers into a sort of database that we can share and add to, that's searchable and sortable...

Hi all.. Pls correct
[2023-10-05 06:43:42 AM] : Hi all.. Pls correct me if my understanding of the attached screenshot from the VHS Safari Gold Recommendations is wrong... So the Recommendations/Buy data, in my understanding based on this screenshot statement is helpful mainly for us to know the likelihood that an ebomb or product or service we'll create to solve our audience's pain will sell/be shared [File hidden by Slack limit]
a little update on m
[2023-10-03 06:46:45 AM] : a little update on my work in case anyone is interested:
my consulting pitch is continuing to work. last month i did a “consulting launch” to my list which yielded two new clients, bringing the total to four. then some days later someone else applied to be a client. today i met with someone in person for a casual coffee, and when i told him about my consulting he said it’s much needed where he works and that he would suggest me to his boss. regardless of whether these pan out i can see that my consulting pitch is easy to understand and that it resonates with people.
because my consulting is now taking up so much time, i intend next week to propose to my boss at my day job that we switch from a full-time arrangement to part-time contract. in addition to lightening the day-to-day load this will free me up to, for example, attend more conferences, put on more of my own events, perform consulting work during regular work hours, etc....

[2023-10-02 09:23:30 AM] : Back in 2014 I launched a small pamphlet in my then-relevant audience "League of Legends gamers", an audience I was deeply engaged within since 2011, and even contended amateur-professionally.
That pamphlet made it to the top of a relevant subreddit, and to this day I am still getting weekly visits for people trying to access my website, trying to download that guide :eyes:
While its not at all relevant traffic for my professional direction, it is an incredibly humbling experience, and a testament to what valuable content can do for us

After a loooong time
[2023-10-02 06:28:40 AM] : After a loooong time, I’m working myself back into the world of content creation :slightly_smiling_face:
Since i’ve not done any sales safari or ebombing since 2019, a lot has changed.
I went full time freelancing with web development and webdesign - this year I hired an employee for webdesign, and now I remembered that I could use some good ol’ sales safari to find relevant topics to write about / post on linkedIn etc.

Hi guys. Taking a cu
Will that be narrow enough? If broad, i've run out of ideas to find some more things to narrow it down to.
I hope to gather some thoughts from you guys especially those who have had similar struggles but have overcome them. Thanks in advance!...
Hi guys. Taking a cu
[2023-10-02 04:33:07 AM] : Hi guys. Taking a cue from Martin Aarhus Gregersen's post where I saw community love i would also love to share my struggle here and maybe this will help me get to a breakthrough.
alex knows about this since I PM'ed and emailed him about it some time back but something's just really blocking me for some reason.
My issue relates to audience selection. I haven't asked this in the group early enough because of one thing - I feel embarrassed since my audience of choice might be too "meta" (they're in the "make money/build wealth" category)....

What would be a prod
[2023-09-27 11:15:46 AM] : What would be a productive way to contribute to an open source free learning curriculum?
Specifically I’m looking at https://www.theodinproject.com/ which is an open source learning curriculum. It popped up in recommendations during Safari and I was looking over it and I see that from the point of just helping my audience, improving an article there would be more helpful than writing my own article on the same topic from scratch. So, I want to do that, it feels like the right thing to do.
But, I’m also trying to ultimately have all my work amount to some revenue. And I don’t really see how this effort can contribute to that....
Been struggling a bi
• How do you guys put this system into process and follow it? (What notion boards, habits etc., have you built around this?)
• Does anybody want to knowledge share? Share processes, tips, learnings, etc.?
• Would anybody want to even guide me? Hold my hand, see if we can figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong.
To share a bit more context, my website is here: https://mgregersen.dk/ targeted towards "Typescript developers".
I can't seem to find anything in the program I have missed or not been doing properly, except sometimes when I'm watching videos from the second part of the course I often find myself thinking "damn, that is crispy safari data", but when I go back and review my own safari notes, the pains I've found etc., I can't really seem to figure out how I could have done it better/differently....
Been struggling a bi
[2023-09-25 03:45:32 PM] : Been struggling a bit to write this post for the past week or two or so, as I've had a hard time putting my thoughts to words, but here goes.
At the core: I've been with 30x500 for 11 months, and have amassed a total of 0 newsletter subs or followers of any kind.
In my time with 30x500 I have been going through the content quite slowly, but I have safaried quite consistently and amassed a library of articles of various length, topic, depth and so forth....

[2023-09-21 07:19:41 AM] : alex,am at the part where Amy is demonstrating safariing for World View.. Seems to me this part invokes the most subjectiveness in us as we can always read a statement in a post/thread and interpret it to mean something. Whether or not the poster/commenter meant it the way we think they do may have an impact on how we use our notes later. Is there are more "mechanical" way to assess an audience's world view that minimizes 60-70% of interpretation on our side?

[2023-09-19 09:12:49 PM] : Right, so I was looking through the Laracasts forum for juicy threads and more often than not finding a lot of threads where there's a very quick "how do i do x?" with a very simple and direct answer of either "this page in the documentation" or "that's not a real thing."
well actually they seem a bit more active today than yesterday so maybe i just needed to keep clicking through to find more from last week. I ended up pulling out a few threads based on some searches of terms i thought would be interesting but I guess I'm wondering what would make a thread juicy? Is it lots of views? Lots of replies (that doesn't seem to happen often)?...
