Steam login issue with -steamdeck flag on Bazzite

I'm experiencing a persistent login issue with Steam. After extensive troubleshooting, I've isolated the problem. Summary: -Launching Steam from the desktop icon (steam-bazzite) forces a login every time after a reboot. -Launching it directly with /usr/bin/steam from a terminal works correctly and saves my credentials. -I've confirmed that the issue is caused by the -steamdeck parameter. Running /usr/bin/steam -steamdeck manually also fails to save my login....

Can't use Boxes

Sleep like situation

So after a small chunk of time my system goes into something like sleep but i cant figure out why settings wise. the pc is still on but the monitors arent receiving a signal.

Fine for months, and now, freezing up.

I've had Bazzite on my ROG Ally (original) for months, it's been great, very smooth. so it's a surprise it's suddenly freezing up on various games. the first one I noticed it just hung at the startup screen, I couldn't select new game or options, it just played the music and hung there. then there started to be other things. and now it just froze up hard in the middle of my old favorite game Ark, froze the image onscreen and eventually crashed back to startup screen. I tried to restart the game and then it froze on the starting menu. no good. 🙁 it was so good for so long, I almost forgot it wasn't mainstream..and now it's crashy and I get to start looking for solutions. 🙁...

I have the gnome OS of Bazzite Running Bazzite 43. I am using my ROG Ally X for this. I used to be able to play the game (terribly) and now I can either get to the menu and crash or click settings and crash. Am I missing something?...

Hard Freeze while just browsing the web, can play games just fine

This is the second time this happen in about 1~2 months since installing Bazzite. Running discord, brave, keepassXC and Obsidian at the time of this crash, all from flatpaks. Here are the logs from journalctl, is this a NVIDIA driver issue or some flatpak I am using really using all VRAM?...

Audio not working with speakers, but works with headphones.

So, I'm having what seems like a weird audio issue. I just installed Bazzite, and I'm trying to get everything up and running. The audio works fine with my headphones, but not the speakers attached to my desktop. It's literally the same internal audio device, with a front and back port, one port works, but when I try to switch to the other port, I get no audio. I've tried boosting the audio in pavucontrol. I made sure fastboot was off. Does anyone else have any ideas? TIA...

lutris: Couldn't find a terminal emulator

as far as I can see, wine is installed. I didn't change anything that i'm aware of. lutris was preinstalled and first time i'm trying to install something on bazzite using lutris (have used lutris before on other systems). both running lutris from the start menu (which does have the python option setup) or terminal, results in it getting stuck when install NFS world...

Running VisualVM through a distrobox is borked as of stable-43.20251102.

When I launch it it just shows a blank screen. I have not been able to find any logs indicating any weirdness regarding VisualVM or the distrobox anywhere in visualvm logs nor via journalctl. 😦 Interestingly, VisualVM works fine when run directly. I am using an Intel B580 in case that matters....

Solution:

Setting _JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1 seems to fix it.

Legion Go Z1E - No audio in gaming mode after update 43

Ever since the update to 43, there's no audio via any device in gaming mode on my Legion Go Z1E. Audio works fine on all devices in desktop mode, and in games launched in both desktop and gaming mode, just not in gaming mode or in any non-game media app installed via bazzite portal (e.g. YouTube, Netflix). I've tried all available audio devices in settings, I've tried the built in speakers, the 3.5mm audio port, HDMI, and bluetooth. Everything works in desktop mode and in games launched in either mode, nothing works in gaming mode itself....

plasmashell high cpu usage

im getting really high cpu usage on plasma and its making my whole system crawl ``` Operating System: Bazzite 43 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.1...

Solution:

Turns out it was decky I disabled the decky service and my CPU usage went down dramatically as well as ram. Strangely plasma shell CPU usage went down to about 10% after stopping decky too So what I resolved to do is disable decky when I'm in desktop mode and renable it when in game mode ...

Crash with green screen while playing game in Gaming Mode

Hello everyone, It's the second time in a few months that I experience a weird crash while playing a game with a friend of mine in Gaming Mode (so the game and Discord are running). secure boot on Legion Go handheld

Hi, i dualbooted my Legion Go handheld (Bazzite & Windows), but i'm trying to play my Battlefield collection on Windows, so when i'm trying to enable the secure boot on bios it gave me this image. Should i enabled the secure boot first on Bazzite like the documentation says?, or?. when i'm installing Bazzite i turned off secure boot from the BIOS Menu, now when i turned on the secure boot from BIOS Menu it won't boot up to bazzite. Since i use bazzite as my default boot it come up with the grub...

Second monitor not being recognized after Update 43

Hi! I am super new to the linux world and I have recently updated my computer to the update 43, but my second monitor is not being recognized anymore for some reason. Here is some details: My main monitor is an AOC connected by a Power display on my AMD Radeon RX 6750T. The second monitor is actually a display tablet (Kanvas 2021 Pro) that doesn't draw anymore (basically the drawable areas died slowly, it's a long story) but was still functioning as a second monitor, also connected on my AMD via HDMI. I have an 8x Inter Core i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60 GHz, idk if it's relevant Plus, It only died after I activated Noturnal Light to remove some of the blue light on both my monitors, since I was having a lot of migraine problems, but Idk how it would just make my second monitor die from activating Noturnal Light......
