Unexpectedly switch from 41-gnome to 42-kde
Hi! I experienced something strange: my bazzite switched from gnome to kde. I wanted to update my nvidia drivers and ran
rpm-ostree rebase ostree-unverified-registry:ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-nvidia:testing. Also, I did ujust update. As a result I switch from bazzite 41 to 42, but now I have kde.
- Is there a possibility to go back to gnome without any trouble?
- Is there an explanation for this switch?...How do I run a script on startup?
I've got a newbie question. I'm trying to add a script to run on startup and i normally do it through crontab but crontab isn't found? Is there a good way to run something on every startup?
For context the script is just this command xmodmap -e "clear Lock" to allow the caps lock, which I've set to as backspace, to auto repeat when held down...

Failing to install r-linux through rpm-ostree.
I want to install r-linux to attempt file recovery. Less Resolution Options in Game Mode
When I go into game mode, in display settings, I see less resolution and refresh rate options than I do in desktop mode. Is there a way to fix this?

Crash while downloading games
My bazzite desktop and gamemode is now crashing when starting a new Steam game install. No idea why but it just started happening today. Currently have over 40 games installed and I just bought the Last of Us part II and it threw a black screen as soon as it started downloading. And it reboots my entire PC back into game mode and if I don't rush to stop the download the gamemode then crashes and reboots my PC. I ended up canceling and retrying with the same result. I then tried a different game Lords of the Fallen and same result. It just randomly started happening and I really haven't changed anything since my last game install besides adding Cooler control and Razer genie to my computer. I've played all my games all day no issue and this strangely just started happening. I've tried running system update as well. I've also checked my Storage thermals and those never go above 45c so it isn't overheating due to usage.

Secondary Drive Requesting Password to Mount?
Howdy, I am experiencing an odd issue where one of my NVMe drives does not mount automatically while in the Steam Gaming mode after initial boot. Is there any way I can avoid having to type the password in desktop mode and just have it automatically mount without having to type in a password? Appreciate the help from the community!

Mangohud FPS only config
I need a Mangohud FPS only config and the folder where it needs to go. I already have tried that, to make one, but i always gives Problems with showing up buged and no corectly. Maybe a problem with 4k? If i switche the mangohud mode with right caps + F10 it works.
Bazzite Steam Deck image does not boot on Steam Deck
After flashing the image to a USB via DD, it looks like the live system isn't able to find the roots.

Surface Pro 2 crashes immediately and a question about older versions

I installed Bazzite on my Surface (using ventoy and grub2 mode like the guide says) and about 20 seconds after reaching the login screen or when I try to log in it crashes and only shows the "surface" boot screen. Hitting the power button does get a reaction: it shows "Bazzite" in the bottom with a little loading animation in the middle and then it shuts off. I guess that means it's not completely frozen?
I thought it could be a KDE related issue but the gnome version does the same.
Trying to launch it again doesn't show the login at all and directly goes to the infinite "surface" boot screen.

Sunshine/Moonlight issue
When I connect with Moonlight, I suddenly here what sounds like a device being connected/removed notification sound intermittently. When this happens, I experience brief stuttering. This wasn’t happening previously and I can’t figure out if a new release caused this or not because I wasn’t using Moonlight for a couple of months.
