Can’t select HDR on Youtube
I have an HDR monitor and it does get detected. I turn on HDR in the settings but when I play an HDR video, the setting isn’t there. The same video is played HDR on my Macbook so I know the video works.

Issue when updating Bazzite on ROG Ally
I’m probably just being dumb…but long story short I’ve been using os branch 40 forever and figured I should update, which wasn’t smart. I used the terminal to update since updating within big picture mode in Steam wasn’t working.
But when I launched the current os 42, I get a completely black screen; Steam doesn’t launch. So I tried to launch the previous version of bazzite, os 41, that was available from the boot screen, and Steam launches, but my Steam boot movie doesn’t work and no games will load. The steam interface works, just not anything else.
Am I missing something?...
Weird GPU Driver crashing issue
Hey Guys I am having weird issue I am unsure how to debug or fix.
So I have been using Bazzite for a good half a year and it works perfectly pretty much. All my games run great with no issue. I have uploaded a picture of my Specs. This is a GPU passthrough VM. I am passing through a RX 7800XT.
I have never had any issue with any game or web browser or most apps. Now heres where the issue happens. If I try and use ANY kind of remote desktop client to RDP into a windows machine. Literally any client app it will work fine. But after a random amount of time usually within an hour it looks like the graphic driver dies. the screen freezes, it flickers, I start seeing artifacts till eventually KDE restarts or the OS dies and I have to reboot it. This doesn't just happen with RDP but also happens with chiaki (the PS5 Remote play app). So it seems any app that involves remote control or remote play causes my GPU driver to just crash. This has bene happening for months and I don't know why and ive been unable to troublshoot....
Greenlight won't start from Steam
I can launch the Greenlight AppImage fine in desktop mode when Steam is not involved, just clicking on the AppImage.
But it won't ever start when added as a Non-Steam Game. Neither in desktop mode nor in game mode.
This works fine on a real Steam Deck and worked for me on Bazzite when I last tried it in January, so I believe it's a Bazzite specific issue....
Solution:
Installing the AppImage with Gear Lever, then adding the installed AppImage as a non Steam Game, and finally turning off Steam Overlay for the game, resolved this.
Neither of these steps was enough on its own, I had to do it all.
Hopefully this will help others....
HP Omen HDMI out not working on Gamemode
Hello maybe someone here has an idea. I want to use my Omen Laptop as Gaming PC on my TV in the living room, for that it should just output on HDMI. On Desktop Mode it works fine to just use the HDMI out

My boot logs recognize the HDMI-A-1 output setting but even with that they prefer the eDP-1 of the internal display. If I misconfig the custom settings, the eDP-1 wil be some kind of 800x600 resolution. ...
hplip-plugin compatibility
Hey, I have a minor suggestion. Is it possible for the distro to distribute
hplip-plugin so printers that aren't supported with just hplip itself will work? Or at the very least provide an ujust script for it?
Currently I have to maintain my own custom image just to get printer drivers working which is okay for someone like me who is willing to put in the effort and knows how to do it, but this is probably a deal-breaker for someone who's less capable...Have problem on msi claw 8 ai+
Hello, I installed Bazzite os on my MSI Claw 8 AI+.
Everything was installed fine, but now I have a big problem:
1. The controller on the device has a problem and suddenly stops working. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Does anyone know how to fix this?
2. The HHD that came with Bazzite can't use the shortcut from the MSI Center M button and the Gamebar button. I want to know if this is normal?...
Desktop won’t show after reinstalling bazzite
I had a bazzite installation before. I reinstalled an older version of bazzite gnome on the same drive as the old one, making sure to delete the original partitions in the installer.
Now, when the installer finishes, I am stuck in a dark grey screen with nothing else. I waited a bit and it never changed. I can enter the shell via Ctrl+Alt+F2 and tried to do ujust update but it never worked.
I googled around and tried dconf reset -f /org/gnome/ but that didn’t work too....

Looking for a Shortcut to Turn Off Display
Is there a way to turn off the display via a shortcut? I currently have it set to turn off the display after a certain amount of inactivity but sometimes I'm reading something or thinking while staring and the screen begins to turn off. I know I could increase the amount of time but then sometimes I just need a short break and would rather the screen be turned off so doing it by command would be nice.
I looked online and tried setting a keyboard shortcut to xset dmps force off but no luck....

Hello, I tend to rotate my monitor frequently, and it is getting tedious to go into settings everytime to rotate the resolution. Is there any way to create a keyboard shortcut to set my monitor's rotation? Ideally, I would like something that works similarly to how irotate.exe works on Windows. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I’ve noticed a problem after using a command in LACT. Right after applying the settings, visual artifacts start to appear — thin green horizontal lines across the screen, sometimes also green and purple.
I’m running an RX 580 with an Intel i7 6700K and a 100Hz monitor. Everything works fine until I run that command, so I’m guessing something in the configuration is causing instability.
Has anyone else seen this or knows what might be causing it?...
Rog Ally X crashes when waking up
I've got a Rog Ally X that has been failing to wake up after sleeping, it freezes and a hard reboot is required. Usually happens when sleeping for a long period and a game open. I'm noticing some HHD exceptions but not sure if that is the issue. I tried rolling back 42.20250417 but that resulted in the same issue. I don't remembering having this issue before that release.
My device is running an eGPU with AG02 Dock. I've been having a good time overall with the eGPU but lately been seeing these crashes (past week or so).
I've attached two logs that both froze when trying to wake up....

Hey there. So I recently switched to Bazzite. And as much as I love the OS, after some time of the laptop running, the process Kwin_Wayland seems to start leaking memory. It allocates all of the free RAM, leading to the machine crashing. Here are the specs

Win Mini 2024 - Brightness shortcuts not working
Hey all, I'm using Bazzite on a GPD Win Mini 2024 and for some reason, the brightness shortcuts (FN+F1 / FN+F2) don't do anything in game mode, they work on the desktop but I'd love to get them working in game mode if possible. I haven't tweaked the install much and wouldn't be able to tell you if it worked initially.
Solution:
That doesn't work in Game mode because laptop function (Fn) keys are sadly not handled by gamescope.
