Optical activity - Theoretical

I should have probably asked this way earlier, but, how are chirality and optical activity connected? Chirality is a microscopic property while optical activity is a macroscopic property. What physical interactions between species in solution and linearly polarised light allow for rotation, i.e. change in the direction of polarisation? Also, does the rotation in line of polarisation come with a non-negligible loss in intensity of the light (like we study using Malus' Law in wave optics) or is the intensity loss negligible?...

Haloalkanes

for (c) I am getting the answer as R = 2 (ans is given as R=0) Why can't SN2 reaction occur at the circled positions (in 2nd image)...

Electric Flux

Why electric flux due to charge outside the gaussian surface is zero. i know 2 explanations, 1. Qinside/ε₀ = 0 as there isn't any charge inside the gaussian surface. 2. Jitni Field lines enter kar rahi hain, utni hi exit kar rahi so flux total = 0 ...

Isoelectronic

for this question i added all the atomic no of the elements and then if it is -ve i added the charge , but the solution used EAN why?

Solutions

how is it B?? if the solution volume would increase the pressure of solution would decrease even more and pressure of solvent would increase D makes more sense to me since Solution Vaporises more and its VP increases and Solvent Condeses and VP dcreases and eventually equilibriates...

PCR

In PCR, the temperatures are 90-95°C for denaturation, 42-55°C for annealing, and 70-75°C for extension right? So answer is supposed to be A? Why is it given to be B?

in this que i used the method of if it was with OH and Cl respectively what i would get but the ans is 1:1 and what i am getting is 2:1 so why isn't my method giving right answer?
