the forgotten city (amazon) downloads half of the way then thinks it is done with no way to retry

i have tried the heroic games launcher, lutris and the official amazon launcher through bottles. every time i try to install "the forgotten city" it downloads half of it then fails with no way to retry. especially through the heroic games launcher it downloads 7 GB out of 26 GB then says it is done leaving me with a broken non-complete game files, i would like to give logs but the issue is a failure to download that will take too long to reproduce with my internet speed....

Thief 2 stopped working after Steam OS update

On a Steam Deck OLED, updated last stable Steam os and from there when i start the Game It closes, It Will not work. The Game worked before. Ill share the log now.

Borderlands 2 crashing on launch

Hello, Im relatively new to Heroic and Linux (Ubuntu), so please bear with me. I installed Borderlands2 (the Epic version) through Heroic a couple months ago and it ran fine, until one day it randomly became very laggy and it even my Discord calls had horrible lag when the game was on, even on background. After trying every Discord setting possible with no improvement, I decided to reinstall both Heroic and the game....

Can't launch Pathologic 2 | SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input

Hi everyone, I'm trying to play Pathologic 2, but it simply does not want to launch. I've looked at the logs (https://0x0.st/KMz9.log), there's an error message that says SyntaxError: Unexpected end of JSON input. I've tried to look through the channel for problems with similar error messages, but couldn't find anything that would be comparable to the issue I had. There's a couple other threads with similar error messages, but they're either unresolved, or the solution is not applicable to my current situation (at least I think so). ...

RoboCop Fatal Error?

I'm trying to run RoboCop Rogue City but for some reason it crashes after a few seconds on startup? I've tried changing the prefix and using winetricks to install different Windows DLLs but nothings working. Changing Proton versions does nothing and if I wait long enough on the crashing screen it comes up with this error popup. If theres something I can do here I'd appreciate the help, Thanks everyone. Game was bought through GOG if that matters...

i was playing lego batman and noticed my fans were ramping up a LOT, which it wasnt doing on windows, i then check my system monitor and im noticing my gpu is pegged at 90% or more, which is definitely a bit worrying, anyone know a fix? i tried lowering graphics and resolution and it was still not having it

Steam Deck - Darkest Dungeon 2 (GOG) unable to launch when added to Steam

I have added the GOG version of Darkest Dungeon 2 to steam via Heroic's built in 'Add to Steam' button. When attempting to launch in this way, the game will not open. However, if I open up Heroic is desktop mode and the launch the game there, it functions normally as expected. Running .sh scripts in Heroic.

Hello. I have a game that I want to launch via a shell script. However, when adding the script to heroic, pressing play doesn't do anything. Running the script manually works just fine.

You'll have to use an absolute path to onscripter-en & make that path available in the sandbox, yes

Why did uninstalling the Epic Games Launcher uninstall the games I downloaded through Heroic?

So, I uninstalled the Epic Games Launcher today and I came to the shock that my games from Epic were uninstalled with it. When I thought of that happening, I only thought it would uninstall Ring of Pain, since that's the only game I downloaded through the Epic Launcher.
I didn't think it would uninstall Cat Quest II, Metro Last Light Redux and Evoland Legendary Edition as well. Do I have to just reinstall the games again?...

Marvel Rivals on Arch Linux

So its been a solid minute of me trying to get this game to work on my system. I have tried a lot of different environment variables and game versions and for a while the game worked (somewhat) on my KDE Plasma Wayland desktop environment, but it would freeze and crash a lot. So i tried out it on KDE Plasma X11 because i heard those drivers are more mature and work better for Rivals. Fast forward about a week and i have yet to get this game to even display a window on my system. On Steam, the console didnt even register the game was launching, so I switched to Heroic Launcher AUR, and same issue, but this time with better logs (maybe?) uninstalling error

Hi, i installed Heroic Launcher on Steam Deck and was trying to install a game and i accidently imported it instead of downloading it and now it will not uninstall so i can correctly download it. I've tried uninstalling the launcher but it still sees it as installed.
