DH nightly auto updates

is it me, but like month ago, every time i boot minecraft, i was getting dh update (nightly) popup, but now it doesn't, more than week p.s i always choose in dh config to update to nightly versions, not auto or stable I also don't use silent updates, cuz i dont need it edit: i also didn't got any updates (yet), after manually updating to latest nightly...

Disable logging of generation progress messages.

Any option to disable the message "[DHS] Generation in progress" in console without disabling generation? Can open a suggestion issue in Gitlab if needed.

DH Server getting 10fps after Client-only was getting 120fps

I'm running a 1.20.1 server. First run was my client only. I ran around for several minutes rendering and generating LODs for chunks all around my world. FPS was stable at roughly 100fps-120fps. Had a friend join and everything worked fine. FPS was doing great at 100+fps for him. I installed DH on the server so that everyone could share LODs and get real-time updates and as soon as I am loading in my FPS is a solid 10fps, and he is getting around 20fps-30fps (probably only because he is running at a lower resolution is my guess.). Not rendering

I join a server DH is not rendering more than 12 I mean I can see 300 but only 12 is rendered normal.... when I fly and get closer it render normal but as soon as I leave its still same weird texture.... I asked server owner and yes 12 is the max render distance. Is there a way around this or its not possible to render more than 12 ? also its bliss shaders and CR texture pack seems like DH works with this shaders or so I think

Distant Horizons renderer has encountered an exception!

On version DH 2.3.2, Windows 10, fabric 1.20.1. Enabling any shaders on the new version of DH returns the error: "Distant Horizons renderer has encountered an exception! Renderer disabled to try preventing GL state corruption. Toggle DH rendering via the config UI to reactivate DH rendering....

Game crashes when I exit my SP world

I got a bunch of client side mods, it seems like the crash happens because of DH but I think its because of a mod incompatibility. Can someone look at the crash report and help me find the culprit?

How to remove beacon beam?

Hello, i use sodium and sodium extra in which i use option to hide beacon beam. It works only when i'm in vanilla render distance area, but when i go far away and lantern become genereted by dh, beacon beam shows up again. Is there any way to prevent it?
Solution:
you can turn off beacon beams rendering in DH's settings, under advanced, graphics, generic rendering iirc

See through LOD's

I'm playing on a server with DH client side and I have these weird lines and see through chunks that stay in a radius around me. Shout if you need any other details like the mod list its livable but it kind of ruins the aesthetics of the map.

chunks not loading in structures / trees

multiplayer & singleplayer (the problems happen on both) they only load in when i entre the chunks, however some chunks load with trees and structures when i didnt explore them...

Chunks do not render when flying

When flying with elytra, the world does not load fast enough (if distant horizon is active). CPU is 100%. If I disable DH, world loads quickly. I did not preload the world, which is a realistic case. I want it to load in background. Hardware : Amd Ryzen 5600H 6 core 12 thread at 3.3 GHz (base) to 4.2 GHz (boost). It is a fairly common mid range CPU configuration and it is faster than mostly used CPUs (according to steam hw survey). Possible Resolutions : Automatically disable DH when CPU usage is 100% or better, detect when user is flying & only render in the direction of flight....

Missing close part of LOD

Some player on my server are missing the closest part right after the vanilla render distance. My DH is working fine so I sent them my config file but the issue remains. They both have the latest version of Sodium. DH is installed server side as well, 1.21.5...

Should I use C2ME with 4 cpu cores?

If I should, what are the ideal settings to use with c2me for 1.21.1 and distant horizons for 1.21.1? (4 cores dedicated to this server on an EPYC 7413, 12gb ddr5 ram; more cores wont be allocated to this server) For context, c2me ruins performance with usage preset set to 1.0 (+ all 4 threads dedicated to dh) I'd like to get a baseline understanding of optimal settings, if it's worth to keep. ...

Any setting higher than 1 in quality crashes the game

I use a Macbook Air M1 to play, and host a server on another machine in the house. I use DH with the modpack All The Mods 10 and have pregenned LOD on the server. Whenever I try to connect to the server from the client with a DH quality setting higher than 1, the game crashes. I can connect with quality 1 without the game crashing, but the game crashes as soon as I press the button increasing the quality. Logs: All The Mods 10 - 2.42 crashed.
