Shared link creation fails on shared album

Hello everyone, I shared an album with my partner and she wants to share a link with a friend of hers, for the shared album. She is able to select 3 dots menu on the album and select Create shared link, but upon creation it fails with the error: Error while creating shared link The Mobile app logs indicate the album can not be found....

Feature to check if all photos are still there?

I've been moving my photos a bit between hard drives and would like to verify that I'm not missing something. I can run a count or a diff via shell, but was wondering if there was a job or something else I can use within Immich to verify that all photos known in the database are actually on my hard drive?

[139.2] Latest Android app with Beta timeline shows no thumbnails, cannot open any pictures

Latest Android app, latest server version, using Beta Timeline. App show no thumbnails, can't view any pictures, video can play just fine. Original Timeline works fine. Thumbnails are set to webp. Already tried re-install, clear app storage, re-login etc....

Read-only archive support – rationale behind write-access requirement?

Hi – I’m exploring Immich for a large photo archive and noticed that write-access is required even for indexing bind-mounted folders. I’d like to understand the rationale behind this design choice. Is there a technical reason why read-only access isn’t supported for archive-style usage? I’ll post a feature request on GitHub if this isn’t already being considered – just wanted to ask here first....

Automatic sync directly from iCloud

Hi there, i was wondering if there's an utility to sync media directly from icloud without "passing by" the app, something server side/site side which allows the user to log in on iCloud and automatically sync the media uploaded on iCloud so that it's not necessary to do it from the phone

Slow response while going from image to image within an album

14M assets, 160k albums. Within a smallish album with 784 assets, the api/albums?assetId=<assetID> call can take up to 10s. Database and immich_server are on separate machines. The DB is on a VM with 16 cores@2,7GHz , 64 GiB RAM, the immich_server is on a Mac Mini M1 under asahi Linux. Currently running v.1.138.1, but this problem has been present for a while now. Going through favourites does not seem to take as long as going image-by-image though the assets of an album....

Cannot Start Immich Server (Error 1) TypeORM, Won't Boot At All

Hello, hoping somebody can help as I am running into signifigant issues with running immich. It cannot seem to access the database. I see a link in the error to the documentation where it says this is a known issue and that the database file needs to be run at least once on a lower version before updating https://immich.app/errors/#typeorm-upgrade It before was "image: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:${IMMICH_VERSION:-release}" I have tried changing it to "image: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:${IMMICH_VERSION:- 1.132.0}" as well as "image: ghcr.io/immich-app/immich-server:${IMMICH_VERSION:- 1.136.0}" but it just seems to start as 1.138.1 no matter when I run "docker compose up" ...

Sync is not working, even after a full fresh start

1. I synced my entire lib with immich CLI 2. I installed the mobile app and let it hash everything until it said it is complete, and I restarted the app a couple times to verify this (it always falls back to lesser hashed items but then quickly goes to "complete") 3. I then enabled (beta timeline) backup for the folder I had synced with CLI 4. It then said I have only 15 items backed up (false: all items are backed up minus a few new) 5. It never started back up. View details is empty, the cloud has a checkmark saying it is complete...

duplicate extract json file

I have around 20k duplicate files in Immich, and I’d like to extract the metadata (file paths, checksums, etc.) for these duplicates into a JSON file. My goal is to analyze this data with an AI tool to better organize or clean up my library.

Photos missing from the timeline

I have a very perplexing issue with Immich I'm hoping someone here can shed a light on. I'm running it on an Asustor NAS. The latest version appears to be 1.137.1.r01 and runs in a Docker. This is a fresh install. The issue is that any photo that I took on July 31st does not show on the timeline when viewed via a browser. When they are first imported and the thumbnails are generated, they are visible, but as soon that the page is refreshed, they disappear. Photos taken before or after this date are visible, just ALL of the ones taken on the 31st are invisible. ...

Memories doesn't work as expected.

Memories just show 20 years ago stuff when they are present. i would like to have, if possible, something like "on this date" where it shows all the pictures i have of today/this_month/each_year. Is that possible? I would like to point that my timeline is correct, each picture is shown in the right day/month/year....

Postgres: Connection reset by peer

Hey Immich. I recently decided to try out your amazing app. But I'm having some trouble launching for the first time. I'm using the recommended method to install and set up Immich, docker compose. I did make a couple modifications I do for every compose file, like linking it to my cloudflared tunnel system (network Tunnel), and using the label system from Dockflare. Like I said this is my first time using it, I expect no migrations from a database or anything. I'm not even sure what version (release) I'm launching... When i check the logs i see a bunch of log messages from the Postgres Database, something about losing connection. This issue has been addressed in a recent dicussion, I just haven't found a solution yet. Do i downgrade everything using the environment file?
