ZWorkers and pages functions are essentially the same. The main difference between the two is that pages has free hosting for static content, while with workers you pay for every single request. If all you have is dynamic content, I would go with workers as they have things like defining durable objects. If you only have static content, go with pages. If you have a mix, usually pages is the better call with the reduced cost
Aprojects are mostly compabitle except for a rearranging of directories/urls as well it seems

JI would guess that when you published the site, it's nested in some other folder, or perhaps some uppercase/lowercase differences. Can you share your repo, or screenshot of files uploaded via direct upload, and then your pages.dev / domain?

JInterestingly, it worked just fine for me as I DM'd you. I'd try poking with your browser config, extensions, network, etc. to see if something is interfering. I do not know why

JYou could run middleware on every endpoint including over static assets, and fetch them via
env.ASSETS.fetch or similar, but then of course you’ll be paying for functions invocations for assets, 404s, etc.
