You need TelemFFB. The configuration app... configures the Rhino. TelemFFB provides effects for DCS and to a lesser degree, MSFS (which does not have any native FFB).
There are several aircraft in the config file for MSFS, but I had to add an entry into the MSFS helicopters section of the user config file to get the Cowansim MD500E to work right -- otherwise TelemFFB would stop working almost immediately.
BTW this apparently isn't obvious at first but don't edit the config.ini file -- copy it to config.user.ini and edit that. And -- don't forget to copy that somewhere so that it doesn't get blown away when you install a newer version and delete the old directory... I do not recommend just copying a new version into the same directory that the older version is at, although someone here does that with no issues in this particular case. It's just not a good idea in general for apps/data (e.g. community aircraft, scenery, etc.).
