the bios only control (if the option is exposed) if the motherboard video out ports are enabled or not when a dgpu is present

To be honest i see uBlue, or Bazzite in this case, as the way to go and prepare for PXE boots from the cloud in future world wide...

i think your plan for now should be stick with having to use the nvidia gpu and plan out an upgrade in the future to an amd card (or intel card if things have improved with those cards by that time)
and if it is a prebuilt then just plan your next build ahead of time

Bazzite is so good that it made me (together with Steam Deck) into a PC gamer primarily (saying as someone who was mainly console gamer in the past)

i prefer whatever works for the tasks i try to accomplish, back in 2009 nvidia was the better option in linux, now it is amd and intel while nvidia is currently the worst (unless you do cuda stuff specifically)
