Its a tricky problem, I imagine intel wasn't quite prepared for the amount of per game tweaking the other gpus are doing with driver updates. The amount of legacy catchup they needed to do while keeping up with releases was / is huge. Likewise with the contacts and established code in engines for their gpus. Games take so long to develop many of them likely started on older versions of whatever engine when intel gpus werent a thing. Sure they should have and probably have been patching in support but depending on the devs and their skillset that can be tough. Likewise with updating the game engine, could just break everything else so maybe patching as they go looks better.
No, there is no update to them. Drivers are preincluded in kernel, if they don't work the only thing you can do is make the realtek maintainer know that.
