You create a DO with a name and fetch it (or you can use random IDs, same idea though), like

    let id = env.MY_DURABLE_OBJECT.idFromName("us-west-player");

    let stub = env.MY_DURABLE_OBJECT.get(id);

    let id = env.MY_DURABLE_OBJECT.idFromName("us-west-player");

That instance has its own storage and is created closest to the requester.

If a user agent or IP changes, I log the user out and require the creation of a new session

They never move. So if it was created before in us-west, it would stay there. If it's a brand new DO (identified by name/id), it would be created closest to the requestor. You can pass it in a region hint too. They'd be copies of the same code yea, but with their own storage/location/memory/etc.
In some languages/concepts they're basically "actors".
You could create a Durable Object per game server, everyone connects and it fans out game messages/keeps game state. You could do it per session. Cloudflare uses Durable Objects per region to fan out Single URL Cache Purges, etc. Little instances of compute with storage that are globally consistent.

i got multiple domains, on whois nameservers are on the domains and everything seems fine, and it just happened like within this 2 hours, pretty sure its because the incident. friend also same problem

Yea, probably related if it's just within the last few hours.
I would just double check dnssec isn't the problem, and that you're not presetting the nameservers at your registrar before adding the domain. Cloudflare recently added it so if you preset the nameservers at your Registrar to your account's defaults, it will pick two new ones when you add it. As long as they're equal to the ones you see in your Cloudflare dash for that website you're good though.

The cache is a best-effort basis and is only valid for the same datacenter where it was cached.

That behavior is probably fine for you, since if you're checking on every request a user is likely to hit the same DC every request and so will hit the cache.

It's just showing in which datacenter the Durable Object will end up in, if the user hits the one you've selected. colo = colocation, renting space in an existing DC, which roughly equals datacenter yea.
The dotted lines go to the place where the DO would be created.

I'd recommend you wait until you actually see the amount of traffic you're getting to optimize further. At a certain point the amount of effort it takes to optimize things is a lot of work, work that might not even be needed if you see that the caching from BetterKV or otherwise is working well enough.

Makes sense. Do cloudflare's analytic tools let me see traffic from specific KV namespaces? I have a "codes" table for email codes and "session" table for sessions. Also, can I analyze other things like D1 traffic and worker CPU times?

I mean if you host a site full stop then yes it's nice to use Pages, mainly for the free static asset requests

Pages does use Workers though as well so you get all the power of Workers. Just with the DX of Pages when it comes to hosting

As convergence happens though we'll see Workers morph more like Pages and pick up that DX until they're one product
