I've got a Gulikit King Kong 3 Max. - If I connect as a Pro Controller, it just doesn't work for me

I've got a Gulikit King Kong 3 Max.
- If I connect as a Pro Controller, it just doesn't work for me at all in gaming mode. It'll connect fine via Bluetooth, and will even register as a controller now (in -40; in -39 and before, it wouldn't even register as a controller. So.. progress?) but in the Controller menu it says it needs setup, and then nothing registers when I go to do the setup.
- If I connect as literally anything else, it registers as either an Xbox One controller (when the controller's in either Windows or Android mode) or an Xbox 360 controller (when using its dongle). NEITHER OF WHICH SUPPORT GYRO. Which I really kinda need, as a traditionally kbm player, in order to feel comfortable using a controller. >.>

I've got some DualSense controllers that work fine so I'm just gonna end up using those, but I was hoping to not have controller confusion when I have both this and my PS5 wired up together. <.<;

When I turn the computer into sleep (in game mode), sometimes I get into a black screen when I wake it. The only solution is holding the power button and turn off/turn on again. The system not even responding on the restart button. Is that a known issue?

Could be because somehow it "knows" the TV have to be priority for game mode. So in that case it cuts the input to my monitor and shows up on the TV. When I use desktop it's expanded.

I also done a nice trick before but I was suspicious it's causing it. If you switch the toggle off on the tv in display settings, it shows up the game mode only on TV, and shows the desktop only on the monitor. However I turned back how it was before but still does it sometime.

If dual screen causing it there should be a setting to isolate the other input from gamescope I think.

Gamescope seems to be a few version behind master and I saw a couple of reports like this that they have fixed on master. It might just need an update TBH.

this is a proton regression actually that somehow interfaces with Gamescope. Try proton 8 and see if that works for you. Make sure to delete the proton prefix after switching proton versions

I had a similar problem with my last Acer Predator monitor (I don't remember the specific number, but it was a 4k 32" so might've been the same one) any time one of my connected Macs went to sleep. (Usually it worked un/replugging the HDMI).
