CI'm pretty sure the rhino gets its trim location in the telemetry from the sim, so force trim should work just fine. It works just find in the vkb sticks I believe, and those are running through a vkb black box rather than the rhino
FThere should be a program to get stick inputs into the rhino base
FIt's used mostly for vkb sticks but it should work for others as well
Jlinks are allowed in this server if your concern was about server rules

JThere are very few cyclic grip makers on the market - even Virpil doesn't seem keen to make some (yet? hopefully?)
PLook at the YouTube channel, a lot of nice shorts 
WIf you need hardware trim functionality you can "loopback" the grip buttons back to the Rhino using the loopback utility included with the configurator. It allows to use any attached game device to send buttons back to the Rhino and emulate a directly connected grip to the Rhino.
Pso if a stick can interface with the PC and therefore communicate with the program to use Loopback it can work with the Rhino

MHi, shouting out to any users on here who have the Rhino and also the Harrier module…… I have not flown it for a while and have noticed that now, when in use, the feel of the stick is very different. I had differing profiles loading for each jet via Telem FFB, so that was expected, however, the Harrier profile was essentially the same as my F18 profile. I have checked and indeed, all settings are the same, in both VP conf and Telem…….however, they feel completely different….In the Harrier the stick feels very stiff and will almost stay where it moves, like is extremely damped and with lots of friction. Also, the trim does not appear to move the stick like it used to…..How can this be, when all settings are the same? I am really puzzled. I was hoping other FFB Harrier users could comment and maybe share their profiles. I can post pictures of both profiles to show the settings. I can only surmise that the FFB effects coming from the Harrier in game are producing the effect, however, I never noticed this before, this is comparatively recent……
WMaybe you have friction effect enabled in the configurator ?
MHi, that was it Walmis....although the settings were teh same, I did not notice one had it ticked and teh other did not......D'oh! Thank you.....I do still have the issue of the trim not moving the stick...? I do have trim workaround for the Harrier enabled in Telem.....

WSorry, I coudln't find the exact ones now. They came from the UK, and I think were using in racing gocarts. If that helps.
JYou would feel more with a shorter stick yes because physics, or more specifically it would be 'harder to move the stick' at same nm set compared to a longer extension

Jso for example on a 200mm extension while the mcg u works perfectly fine it'll feel a little different from using the mcg pro
MI got tired of rodends which are either cheap and sloppy or expensive and less sloppy and make my own pushrods now.. 1 end is a regular ball eating the other is a self-aligning type. My initial units are made from 2 stainless laser cut pieces that are soldered together but will switch to cast ones in the future. They look like this (missing the self aligning bearing):

SI'm wondering if someone managed to get this working with the Rhino. Currently in Win11 the joystick menu in game does not recognize any joysticks.

DNo, I used to be able to fly it quite well with the Virpil, but I must have something set wrong with the Rhino.
IDumb questions first: Do you have force feedback enabled in DCS general settings and the Apache's trimmer mode set to Instant Trim (FFB FRIENDLY) in the special settings?

II fly the Apache a lot, I'm not an expert by any means, but if you describe what you're struggling with, I may be able to help.

FCause you should have a lot of spring force normally, but when you press and hold trim up it'll become a dead stick

IRemember, holding trim up will also reset the SAS back to your physical input. While holding it, the SAS is inactive. Once you release it, the SAS becomes active again
DYes, I have trim bound. And it is very possible I am using trim when I should not be. Taking off in the Apache Instant Action in NTTR, I take off fine. The second I press the trim switch forward the stick goes slack, the moment I release trim, the stick goes full aft.
