WSorry, I coudln't find the exact ones now. They came from the UK, and I think were using in racing gocarts. If that helps.
JYou would feel more with a shorter stick yes because physics, or more specifically it would be 'harder to move the stick' at same nm set compared to a longer extension

Jso for example on a 200mm extension while the mcg u works perfectly fine it'll feel a little different from using the mcg pro
MI got tired of rodends which are either cheap and sloppy or expensive and less sloppy and make my own pushrods now.. 1 end is a regular ball eating the other is a self-aligning type. My initial units are made from 2 stainless laser cut pieces that are soldered together but will switch to cast ones in the future. They look like this (missing the self aligning bearing):

SI'm wondering if someone managed to get this working with the Rhino. Currently in Win11 the joystick menu in game does not recognize any joysticks.
DCan someone explain or point me in the right direction for dealing with the trim in the Apache? I am just not understanding it at all.

DNo, I used to be able to fly it quite well with the Virpil, but I must have something set wrong with the Rhino.
IDumb questions first: Do you have force feedback enabled in DCS general settings and the Apache's trimmer mode set to Instant Trim (FFB FRIENDLY) in the special settings?

II fly the Apache a lot, I'm not an expert by any means, but if you describe what you're struggling with, I may be able to help.
FDo you have trim bound in dcs apache?
FCause you should have a lot of spring force normally, but when you press and hold trim up it'll become a dead stick

IRemember, holding trim up will also reset the SAS back to your physical input. While holding it, the SAS is inactive. Once you release it, the SAS becomes active again
DYes, I have trim bound. And it is very possible I am using trim when I should not be. Taking off in the Apache Instant Action in NTTR, I take off fine. The second I press the trim switch forward the stick goes slack, the moment I release trim, the stick goes full aft.

DNope... just keyboard. I thought it might be because in the configurator I have the Grip Type set to VPC when I am using a TM F-18. The trim buttons are seen as a hat this way instead of buttons. The trim in aircraft does not work unless I set it to VPC T-50, but I set it to generic grip, remapped the buttons and am still getting the same behavior.
NGeneral guidance:
- Make sure the special options trimmer is set to
- Make sure you don't have any curves set on the axis, they are not compatible with FFB
- Make sure your rhino is properly calibrated and that the axis position dot in configurator follows the stick correctly. If it is inverted, reverse the axis is configurator - do not reverse it in DCS.

IYeah, I'm not too sure. I use a Winwing 16EX so I use the Winwing adapter setting with no issues

DOh holy hell!!! This was it!!!! Thank you!!! My pitch axis was inverted and needed to be checked in the Configurator. Then going back to DCS, I made sure the pitch axis was not inverted in the DCS bindings, it is not and now it works!!!!
DThere is no physical adapter? Or is there. I have a WW F-16 Grip, but just ordered the TM F-16 grip to use with the Rhino.
DOMG!! I stopped flying helos after buying the Rhino because I could not get it to work. Bring on the Kiowa and Chinook!!!!
DOne more dumb question now that I am back flying helos, I have the WW Skywalker pedals, what should my pedal option be in the Special Control menu?
IThe Apache definitely needs pedal trim unless you have no springs on the pedals
II use central position mode for the pedals
FHonestly i disagree, using pedal trim makes it hard to control when you remove trim
FWhen it jumps to the new position youll sway pretty bad
INot if you use central mode. When you click the trimmer, it holds that spot until you recenter the pedals
