With damper enabled, I keep getting oscillations and shutdown. I've been messing with LPF tuning etc. and have reduced it where I dont get the shutdown for just touching the stick. However, I still get slight vibration/oscillation but only in the x-axis, yaxis is smooth. Any suggestions? Trying to fly DCS Apache. When I get the ETL vibration effect from TelemFFB, it goes bananas and vibrates strongly until I shut it off and back on.

My Motor Y stays offline. I have removed PSU and USB, but it stays offline.
In the last 3 days the motors went offline 3 times when I was playing DCS.
But ever time they come back online after moving a axis to full aft/forward.
Any ideas?

Try damper filter at 4Hz, but yeah it shouldn't be this sensitive at those settings. Check the belt tension on the X axis too.

My bet would be to check the wiring, see if wiggling the data wires near the plugs give some connected/disconnected beeps. Also check if the motor LED blinks steadily when powered.

This is where I ended up through randomness. I would like to know how the dynamics interact between Spring force and damper with respect to LPF and the sliders. My objective was a spring centering, damped feel that reflects the slowness observed by the reaction of controls in DCS apache vs. the actual stick. If I deflect the stick and let it go, it lightly bounces like a spring on it's way back to center, but I have the damped feel/look I wanted.

I think someone lifted up the leather boot and tightened the bolts at the TOP of the metal tube connector?

It was long ago but someone fixed this creak by doing that and I think the culprit was the square metal tube and those screws.

Maybe a search and you can find the pic of what screws he tightened

Also, is there a way to reduce pot_2 to 0%? I don’t have it bound to anything, but it’s been sitting at 1.2% and changes to 0.7% if I scroll the potentiometer to 0.0% for pot_1.

If I hold it in full deflection at full spring strength the fans kick on in 10 seconds, climbs to 60 deg C, X axis motor is fine.

My guess is that the motor was preheated from earlier and does a bit of thermal throttling, it shouldn't be going 'bad' - it either works or doesn't

In the off chance - it could be a thermal paste issue between the motor and transistors on the driver pcb that impedes heat dissipation into the motor, that causes it to register higher temperatures.

When pot_2 is unconnected it floats a bit due to high electrical impedance, but if it's disabled in software it doesn't do anything regardless

The normal mount is simply 2d printed, and if you have an accident and get a grip or extension even a slightly bit crooked on, you will quickly shear off the thread as you basically just attacked it with a dull burr tool.

I managed to do just that, do have an aluminium piece now, but i also managed to 3d print a replacement two days before it arrived so haven't actually fitted it yet.

I honestly think it would be a decent upgrade for the most often worn/broken part on the whole rhino.

I've got a problem with my Collective. Everything worked fine until next week, suddenly i get a FAULT_ENCODER_MAGNET Error as soon as i power up the Collective. When i set Master Gain to 0% and restart, everything is fine. As soon as i increase the Gain to around 30-50 % the Motor times out again with the same error. I'm using the swap function to get an X mtoro to run as an Y. But, the Collective has been working like that for at least 2 months now without any problems. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Your damper force LPF is 0Hz for some reason, set it to 6Hz and it should be fine

seems to work fine? The configurator isn't bundled with TelemFFB or anything. It needs to be installed on your system and you need to have run it at least once (so that it sets its own path in the registry which is how TelemFFB finds it).

that's because it tries to send the PID/SN of the device when opening configurator (even though it doesn't work which reminds me I need to make a FR to walmis to allow passing the device details via args to configurator). Since you are trying from the master instance, and there is no device, it is (silently) throwing an exception because there is no SN. If you showed the child instance window (pedals) and opened it from there, it would work.

No point in having the device information passed unless/until its supported by configurator so I'll fix that.
