LSo, first time I've tried HDR on KDE Desktop in a long time and to my surprise... the colors and everything are just working. Before it was not doing so well.
LPlayed a little Dark and Darker to really set the mood and man did the colors pop.

Jif you care about your friend and he's on an nvidia card don't recommend an entirely new OS

Hi would honestly sit down with them and learn what they expect to do with it and decide on OS from that, and if you go with bazzite then teach them how to know if a game is supposed to work on linux or not

Hand honestly get your friends input, if they want to go unga bunga press button and not think if the game has anticheat or something then put them on windows
Hif they are willing to do some reasearch before buying/playing a game (a simple search) then they might be willing to try linux first.
plus if you put the games on a btrfs drive they can be used on windows anyway if they end up moving to windows later

Hyeah just make sure you get to find out what your friends expectations are.
if they are like "man i want to be able to play call of duty" then you know they will need windows no matter what if they want any of the newer ones (i belive some older ones work on linux but dont quote me on that and im too lazy to check)

Hplus launchers (EA/ubisoft/etc) will always be a bigger pain on linux even with lutris
