DAs long as testing boots for you and you can get into terminal or tty, you'd be able to rebase rather than roll back anyway
Rthe pinned won't be the default install, just a fallback you can use to fix things if you can't boot

RTo be honest, bazzite uses a special type of linux which has an immutable image OS. Normal Linux is usually a bunch of tiny packages that make up all the software in the OS. Instead, the entire OS is a large image in a container, that user isn't supposed to touch under regular usage, that is downloaded whole every update. If you've ever worked with docker or podman you might familiar with some of the concepts it uses with containers and seperation of OS's and users. It's kinda interesting when you look into it.

VI think the image-based approach of bazzite & other distros makes a lot of sense when you just wanna use your computer

I do still want too to some degree, and Bazzite allows that. But having the stuff that makes my system work be not my responsibility is great.

Aafaik it is officially supported, but it may be easier to turn it off if you dont really need it
KI kind of default turned it off because the steam deck image didn't use it, I didn't even really think about it. But if it doesn't matter, eh.

Ait probably matter in windows, like some anticheat need it turn on, in linux said anticheat doesn't even bother running
