if you only need an adapter, you will need a grip set from VKB with an extension and a Virpil extension. You can save money and 3D print the clamping ring. I do not recommend making an adapter from plastic; it is not reliable. my printed adapter broke after a couple of months. CNC costs about $100 If you are interested in a complete VKB conversion for the Virpil base, then I recommend purchasing a board with USB and AUX connectors as a part from virpil support (45$) and using the AUX connector as a through connection grip to black box. Just cut off the boards road from the AUX and solder the 5pin connector for a standard connection with the Virpil cable for the grip
I left a link where I made my adapter, maybe they will make a ring cheaper than the extension from Virpel. I already had this extension and used the original clamp ring from Virpil.
Hey @trimscash, So the last Shipped RHINO is #0602 on 2024-06-27 Average waiting time from preorder to shipped is 208 days, median is 209 days, max is 437 days 587 Rhinos are shipped in total
I’ve got heavily moderated on the Moza discord server, someone claimed that they could use the stick as a shifter or handbrake and I simply mentioned that it likely doesn’t have the same level of forces to simulate this then administrative staff deleted all my comments about my thoughts and opinions
Yeah, it's doable, but you're correct it won't be as hard mechanical stops. Similarly how it is with Rhino soft endstops vs limiter plate. And it's very slimy from Moza when they attempt delete/hide all criticism
Agreed, and they still show me marketing brochures, but no proof of the forces they provide, I tested at the expo and it felt half the strength if the rhino
I was very upset when they deleted my comments, becuase I know rhino demoed this, but handbreak? That will require a lot of torque? Is that the right word… to stop this thing and act like a real break
@Touch_Of_Legend Yeah, correct. They explicitly write that on their product page. It's the theoretical diagonal maximum. (minus the geometry effect of the twist of the gimbal core)
Trying to hide/delete comments always sucks, especially as you're only trying to offer your opinion ad feedback. Also, I didn't even consider handbrake, can't see that working
That’s the thing that annoys me. I want buyers to have the very best of factual information when they buy something and not be subject to marketing trickery.
